AJIMS Faculty

The faculty at the college is well-qualified, with all lecturers holding master's degrees and specialized in their fields, ensuring comprehensive subject knowledge. There are 19 departments, each headed by an HoD, with a faculty to student ratio of about 1:10, facilitating personalized attention through a mentor-mentee program. Faculty members employ diverse teaching methods, including ppt presentations and clinical case explanations. While some faculty are approachable and student-friendly, offering guidance in academic and research projects, others maintain a professional distance.

The college offers a skill and stimulation center for hands-on clinical practice and encourages internships. Despite positive aspects, students often rely on self-study due to tough exams and perceived lack of faculty support in the first year. The faculty is experienced, with some visiting professors from KMC Manipal, and they help prepare students for hospital and specialist industry careers. The college also emphasizes the importance of the doctor-patient relationship in its curriculum.
