AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre was founded in the year 2002 in Mangalore, Karnataka. The Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS), Bangalore.
The Institute offers MBBS/ MD/ MS/ M.Ch. / DM and Paramedical courses. MBBS program is of five-year duration with 150 seats, MD, MS and Diploma courses are of two-year duration with fifteen, four and three specializations respectively.
AJ Institute of Medical Sciences also offers super specialty courses in M.Ch of three-year duration and DM in Cardiology program of two-year duration. Paramedical courses includes B.Sc. of three-year duration with eleven specializations and M.Sc. program of three-year duration with four specializations.
- Selection of the candidates for admission to MBBS is done on the basis of NEET UG.
- Admission to MD, MS, and Diploma courses is given through NEET PG and to M.Ch. & DM course is given based on NEET SS.
- Admission to Paramedical courses (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) is given on the basis of candidates merit in the qualifying examination and score obtained in the personal interview round conducted by the Institute.
- Applicants who have passed 10+2 with English as a compulsory language and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to get admission in MBBS programs.
- Those who have MBBS Degree or equivalent Degree from RGUHS, Bangalore or any other recognized University/ Institute are considered eligible for admission to MD, MS and Diploma program.
- Minimum eligibility requirement for admission to M.Ch. is MS Degree.
- For DM program, candidates with MD Degree are eligible to get admission.
- Students who have passed Pre-University Examination conducted by RGUHS, Bangalore with English as a compulsory language and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects are eligible to get admission in B.Sc.
- To get admission in M.Sc. program, candidates must have B.Sc. MLT Degree.

AJ Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Admission 2024
The Institute offers MBBS program of five-year duration with the total intake of 150 seats.
Candidates who have passed 10+2/ HSC or equivalent examination conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one compulsory language with not more than 50% marks in aggregate are considered eligible to get admission to MBBS program.

AJ Institute of Medical Sciences MS, MD and Diploma Admission 2024
The college offers MS, MD and Diploma programs of two-year duration each with the capacity of four and eight seats in each course respectively.
Applicants who have completed or pursuing MBBS from a University recognized by the Medical Council of India and has finished the compulsory rotational internship of one-year duration from any Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council are eligible to get admission to MS, MD and Diploma programs.
Candidate must have MBBS degree to become eligible for PG program.
Admission to the eligible candidates is given on the basis of their score/ rank achieved in NEET PG.

The college offers M.Ch of three-year duration with two specialization and one seat in each discipline and DM in Cardiology of two-year duration with two seats are offered by the Institute.
Applicants who have MS Degree in respective discipline from Medical Council of India recognized Institute are eligible to get admission into M.Ch course, while those who hold MD in relevant discipline or any equivalent degree from a recognized Institute are considered eligible to get a seat in DM program.
Admission to the deserving and eligible applicants is given based on the merit/ rank in NEET SS conducted by NBE.

The Paramedical courses offered by AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre are B.Sc. program of three-year duration plus one-year of internship with eight specializations and 25 seats in each course and M.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) program of 2 years duration with 4 specializations.
Candidates who have passed Pre- University Examination conducted by Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka or by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Indian Universities with English as compulsory language and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects are considered eligible for admission to B.Sc. course.
