What students say about Australian National University

Likes

  • The faculty ratio is good; for every workshop, there are two tutors for a class of 30 students (for every course of mine).
  • There are certain scholarships available if you wish to take on a level of responsibility in my residential college.
  • The college has excellent placement and job opportunities in law, but I didnt come across any in my Arts degree.
  • This scholarship is automatically provided to deserving candidates from my university, based mainly on many factors, with your ATAR score being the most important.
  • This was excellent to start university in as it offered a very supportive environment, with many sports, arts, and social opportunities.
  • There are plenty of scholarship opportunities available to ANU students throughout the year.
  • The faculty of my college is highly credible and comes from a variety of backgrounds.
  • The supervisor was young and enthusiastic, showing complete interest in my application and supporting me throughout until I got accepted into the Ph.D. program.

Dislikes:

  • Probably the fees. I was lucky to get a scholarship and a student loan to support my studies but that is not true for everyone. null
  • My parents supported me for the first few months before I found a part time job but juggling financial stability and full time study isn't the easiest. null

The overall experience has been great. I would recommend ANU to anyone interested in higher education. One of the most important thing is to network and seek help form faculties when needed.

ANU is the topmost Australian University and the only one funded by the national government. The supervisor was young and enthusiastic showed complete interest in my application and supported me throughout till I got accepted into the Ph.D. program. The facilities provided by ANU were excellent with a range of equipment and awesome labs.

Australian National University (ANU) is ranked 1st in whole of Oceania and ranked 31th in QS world ranking, 2021. Apart from that, it has one of the best educational faculty having 8 Nobel prize winners including the present Vice Chancellor of ANU. It is the only university to be affiliated by the Australian parliament. I choose this particular program as it is the most flexible degree I can ever have. It has 3 majors and honours year for the 3 core subjects i.e. Finance, Statistics and Economics.

Because of its reputation. I wanted to be in a university where research and workforce both were a part of a degree and this university is the only government-funded university in Australia. The professors are amazing, the campus is beautiful and the city is a place where students can easily focus.

Australian national university is ranked as one of the best institutions in the world for studying public policy. In addition, Canberra is a conducive environment for students and has a very open-minded community. The reason for choosing Australia over any other global destination is that it has one of the highest minimum wages and is one of the safest countries to live in.

The course structure covers a lot of related topics which I think are very helpful to develop all-around knowledge regarding the management of a business on an international level. Apart from that, the global ranking of the university (19th) is pretty impressive

I chose ANU for being the too University in the country, particularly for Law and anything internationally focussed. ANU is also 1 of 2 unis in Australia to offer development studies as its own degree rather than as an art major. The location of the uni and college life also really appealed to me.

Australian National University has the best research unit for Astronomical instruments. As I am from instrumentation and wanted to work on Adaptive optics, I chose the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics of ANU.

It was ranked well and I wanted to move away. This uni has a good structure of degrees, allowing me to pick up another degree at the same time if I wanted. It had good living arrangements for me as well.
