What Students Say
Likes
- Scholarship, course offered, research output and good ranking.
- ANU is one the best ranked university in Australia(QS ranking). The primary reason to apply to ANU to do my masters was the course that was offered as well as the ranking.
- I wanted to pursue research or PhD in future, so having an high research output was also an important criteria. ANU also had good scholarship programs and I was lucky to get a percentage of my fee waived off for my masters.
Dislikes
- Probably the fees. I was lucky to get a scholarship and a student loan to support my studies but that is not true for everyone.
- My parents supported me for the first few months before I found a part time job but juggling financial stability and full time study isn't the easiest.
Required Exams for Admission
The overall experience has been great. I would recommend ANU to anyone interested in higher education. One of the most important thing is to network and seek help form faculties when needed.
Course Curriculum
Most of our projects were on most recent publications. The course was up to date with the current state of art technologies.
Faculty
11 students to 1 teacher. The faculties are great academics as well as really helpful.
Campus Life
Great, there is sport center that tries to accommodate all the major sports. My favorite are the libraries.
Placement
I was offered a job and two PhD positions once I graduated. We do not have campus placements so a lot of the opportunities arises from networking.
Accommodation
The accommodation on campus is a expensive but definitely worth staying for a year.
Exams
IELTS: 7.5, I scored more 6 in all the sections. That was all the that was required. SOP for Visa, CV, transcripts, financial documents to get the student loan as well as the visa were required.
Fees
47000 AUD per year.
Scholarship
College of engineering and computer science postgraduate merit scholarship which gives 25% on first year fees. For, PhD I get a stipend and my fees are covered.
