I chose this university as their Internship program known as COOP was the most important factor and their ranking, also having good support for COOP will help me in searching for a full-time job. The College is not that great if you want a stable start as there is no on-campus job that you can get easily, everyone is Indian so no foreign exposure. Every Indian has their setting there so that's the only reason they have some on-campus job. Fees are high, too many issues in college administration. But one good thing is the coop search experience you have there you will grind very hard to get an internship which will make you job ready and they have good support for the intern but don't come with high hopes here as even the city is costly.
The university is in proper Boston City, with a strong Co-op/ Internship program. A decent college situated right in Boston city. Not a primary choice but a safe bet and will provide you with most of the facilities. The campus is very lively, with ample places to sit, work, and focus. The master's program (engineering/ CS major) has a large number of international students - mostly South Asians (around 75%). Courses are decent, too, with moderate difficulty. Scoring good grades is not at all difficult. Very less on-campus opportunities a few handful of dining jobs for students. Fees and Living expenses - rent and food would be on the higher side since the city is expensive overall.
SoP submitted. 3 lor submitted: 1. Hod, 2. Professor 3. Research paper professor I choose this University when software engineering tech job market was good and hiring of new grad was great. Currently its worst and nobody is hiring new grad students. I have mixed feelings for starters there are no on campus jobs on campus jobs is very hard to find here lots of Indian students and international students are trying to apply for on campus jobs and there are very less on campus jobs. as you don't have on campus job it becomes expensive and Boston itself is very expensive with skyrocketing rents and living expenses. On the other hand the university is good infrastructure good professors with deep knowledge and Boston is also a good place for finding jobs as it is hub for software and biotechnological companies lots of companies hire Northeastern students
My experience has been great. The university fosters inclusivity with numerous Indian clubs and events. While the overall curriculum was good, I expected more in terms of the technology taught and course selections. The campus life and supportive community have made my journey amazing.
Because of the professor experience and the city. Job aspects were better in Boston which was also one of my main requirements.
My focus is to get a job after Master's and Northeastern University's curriculum is very job-oriented. The co-op program at NEU is one of the best programs compared to many top ranked universities. If you have a job-oriented mindset, co-op will be extremely beneficial since you get to work at a company for an entire semester and apply what you have learnt along the way.
Northeastern University is one of the best universities in the US which has a good curriculum, very good professors and it has the best co-op program which helps students find internships easily. All these factors drove me to accept the offer of admission at NEU
One of the top universities for CS field, good location, good coop and internship opportunities
Course work aligns with my career objective apart from that university offers a co-op program which will help you to get real industry experience without investing your CPT.
