The University of Arizona Global Wildcat Award is now available for incoming and transfer international students of 2023-24 academic year. Students demonstrating academic excellence are eligible to apply for this prestigious award by University of Arizona. The first year incoming students may receive an award ranging from 5,000 to 23,000 USD (4.15 lakhs to 10.12 lakhs INR). Meanwhile, the award range for international transfer students is 2,000 to 15,000 USD (1.66 lakhs INR). An additional 3,000 USD (2.49 lakhs INR) will be awarded to students who have participated in either Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at a U.S. community or junior college.
To make themselves considered for the Global Wildcat Award, the candidate must be admitted to the University of Arizona either as a first year or transfer student. It is advised to Thoroughly review your application along with required documents and submit it before the given admission deadline. Those coming as transfer students must have earned at least 12 transfer credits in their previous college or university outside the USA. Students who are admitted on a conditional basis can also avail Global Wildcat Award. To be eligible, conditional students must enroll in the CESL U-Track pathway and complete one semester before being transferred to a full-time undergraduate degree.
Apart from this, there are some limited merit based scholarships available for international students based on their overall profile, and English language proficiency scores. Some of the popular merit-based scholarships include Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, National Merit Finalist, Arizona Sonoran Award, Transfer Tuition Scholarship, etc. Eligible students will be awarded only one award and none of them can be combined together.
