NMIMS Navi Mumbai Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

In the Third Year, students become eligible for campus placements. The minimum percentage of students getting placements is 60%. Practical knowledge is equally important with theoretical knowledge as we are in the service industry so we must know well about the industry.

The placements are actually decent enough compare to other b-schools of this level. Last year NMIMS offered an average package of 10.15 lakhs which they are able to achieve in just 4 years. Honestly speaking, I have seen that placement percentage was 100%

The placements provided to the students are very good , a large number of companies offer placements to the students. Also, there is a dedicated group of students and teachers who are a part of the placement committee which keeps adding companies in the database.

I am part of the first batch of B.tech and MBA tech first batch is in the final year, so in engineering, no such placements have happened so far, but a lot of students are offered internships from the campus placement cell and also the other programs that have reach placement such as MBA, BBA has shown good placements results. Tresvista, ICICI bank, ZEE Media, Nippon, Adani, TCS, DTDC etc have come and offered placements with average CTC 10.2 LPA and the highest 19 LPA.

Our most senior batch will be going 5th year, which is the last year(Navi Mumbai Campus). They have been provided with various good internships that I'm aware of. Most students are choosing internships based on their interests and talent. We also have a great exchange program, where numerous foreign universities are tied up with our college.

Placements of the college are very good, despite the covid scenario. Summers start by the end of the first trim. The entire batch gets a decent placement. The average CTC as per last year's placement report was around 18 lakhs.

Due to the ongoing COVID scenario, we have been restricted to the online mode of MBA which only provides us with limited interactions with the faculties and our batchmates. I chose this course as I believe that it will add value to my career and help me grow. The faculty: student ratio is approximately 10 faculties for all us 72 students (of the first year) and 40 students (of the second year). Some of the faculties are really well versed in teaching methodologies and are able to communicate the essence of the lectures to the students in a very efficient manner. The exams were conducted as per schedule in an online mode irrespective of the restrictions imposed due to COVID. Being an MBA course, the exams were very practical and not that difficult to pass.

For the entire 1st-year students are given a chance to do multiple LIVE projects to augment their CVs for the summer placement. In the 2020 pass-out batch, the average salary was somewhere around 10 LPA and the highest package was 15 LPA. Since then one more batch has passed out of NMIMS Navi Mumbai the data for the same is yet to be released. For the year 2020 there were 50 companies like TCS, Sales Force, Bisleri, etc that visited the campus

After entering the college, the hustle for the placements start within a month, we are asked to prepare our CVs and apart from that several competitions start coming at the campus, either we can sit at placements and get an offer or we can win a competition to get one, several competitions offer PPI(Pre Placement Interview) and PPO(Pre Placement Offer). After 2 months companies start coming to campus and the interview process starts. The companies visit at college is all the top players in their field offering various roles in different domains. The average package is around 18 lakhs CTC and the highest goes to around 53 lakhs CTC. There are ample opportunities coming at the campus, we just need to be prepared to grab one as soon as it comes to us because of the batch strength, the competition is high. NMIMS is able to achieve 100% placement.
