Nmims hospitality management in a nutshell

Likes

facilities provided are top notch. One of the best in the country.
Faculty is amazing. Very highly educated and experienced
classrooms are very well made. very good environment

Dislikes

college timings are stressful. 9-5 gets tiring
journal work takes lot of the time. too much work
uniforms are not good quality everything keeps breaking

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are provided compulsory to each and every student. 6 months industrial training is done in whatever field we choose. Good companies take us as interns and provide us with hands on experience in the industry

A real look inside my college life experience

Likes

Everything. Infrastructure is so good . Cafeteria food is also good
The facilities provided and the faculties are well experienced.
Flagship events are organised very well . Fun and lively enviornment

Dislikes

Only the attendance policy which is 80% attendence is compulsory

For campus placement students from 3rd year for my course are eligible. Highest package for my course is 3 LPA. Companies like oberois , hyatt etc . If I'll get better placements then I'll go for it otherwise I'll do masters.

The faculty’s are good and very interactive and helps the student at any point of time
The practical knowledge we get from our college is a good outcome of what we paid we get to learn new things in practical that how a actual work can look like and on that we can also have a future vision on that
College is good many social interactions along with meeting new friends from different states and also offers a good placement along with a good internship opportunity

Dislikes

Feel a sport ground is missing in campus

nmims navi mumbai supports both national and international internship opportunities. Students typically become eligible for internships in the 4th semester. And different companies are offered like taj, Marriott, intercontinental, oberoi, ritz carlton.

Good ambience of the campus and nice facilities
Good opportunities for placements as well
Nice curriculum and well educated faculty

Dislikes

No garden or a comprehensive campus to chill
Very strict about attendance and no short clothes allowed
Some faculties are not very good at teaching

Internships Opportunities:

There is a mandatory summer internship program of the college and they itself place you in big companies. 30-40% people manage to grab a PPO as well. Roles ranging from finance to marketing to operations are offered.

Life at NMIMS navi mumbai

the first thing which really makes an impact on a student here at nmims navi mumbai is the quality of the internal structure of our campus and how appeasing it is
the campus gives a feeling of something much more than a college with how everything works and gives that formal look but still has that casual aura around itself which is a great mix to have
some facilities provided to us are really next level like all Nmims students have access to multiple bloomberg terminals at all times and thats really unique in its own way

Dislikes

the outside part of the campus feels a little congested , especially when an event or fest is being hosted and would have been better if some kind of ground could be used as an extension
even thought certain facilities are provide , we are expected to bring our own equipments to utilise them like bringing our own equipments for sports facilities in the campus
the teachers go over the top in expecting discipline which feels really restricting at times and becomes burdening many a times. These things include attendance, submissions and highly regular period of internal commitments

Internships Opportunities:

internships offered by our college will be applicable for me this summer itself because its mandatory to do it and in my first year it was mandatory to intern at an ngo meanwhile i cannot provide information for the internships given out by our college as im yet to get it in a few months time once i experience the projects and outcomes ill convey it asap

Likes

the college offered a range of extracurricular activities, from clubs and societies to cultural fests
many professor, were approachable, knowledgeable and eager to provide mentorship.
the campus boasted modern amenities like smart-classroom, well equipped labs, libraries, etc,.

Dislikes

bureaucratic delays were frequent for resolving basic doubts.
mental health services and counseling require more budgeting
the gender ratio is very unfair there are 60 girls and 10 boys in my classroom alone

Internships Opportunities:

the placemet cell helps the student with how to make their CV and how to apply. the early internships in law school are often stipend free but they teach several basics needed for a carrer in law. there are several projects and competitions which go throughout the year.

Our college campus is look like a 5 star hotel
Library have to many space and a very good environment for study
Food quality is too good in hostel canteen

Dislikes

There is less parking space for students to park there vehicle
Lunch break time is too low to get lunch
Our class have only 24 students but our class is too big therefore there is an eco happen when simmering teach us

Placement Experience:

Yes , our college provides placements where last year average package is of 1200000 rs which is good for an average student. Student have approx 80% chance to get good placement package. College provides placement in india and in other countries also

the course is planned really well academically and is very practical using presentations and reports.
the college societies and fests and are very lively and regular
it covers many areas like law, pol sci, maths, logic and I.T. is really good.

the average internship stipend is rs.18,428 and the highest is rs.26,000. the companies that participated were Forbes, Sodexo, Pratham, Smartbrew. the roles offered are data and business analyst, risk management, marketing and sales, business development, and market research. the internships are usually about 1-2 months.

Likes

Good infrastructure, cleanliness and sanity

After the 10th semester students become eligible for campus placements ...as it was happening till now ...but I heard that this thing is changing but can't comment anything on it without verification The average and highest package are listed on the nmims website ...you can check there which companies have visited the campus and the placement status My plans after getting the degree is to pursue CS degree and Do MBA
