peacful college life

Likes

New horizon college is known really well for its fest. Some famous celebrities come here during sargam. Its one of the best fets ever. Recently Badshaah came.
They have 30+ clubs. One can find a club they are interested in easily.
They conduct so many competitions. It can be educational or cultural but it will be fun.

Dislikes

They collect alot of fee without giving proper reason.
Placements arent good here for bca and the packages are relaly low
No proper management regarding classes and exams. They inform things all of a sudden. Fee is collected if attendance is not maintained.

Placement Experience:

Placements are on campus. They usually take place in final year. Placements are really hard to get in with theory knowledege of bca. Skills are checked. Many companies come here but dont expect the package the package to be high.

NHCM is a good to college

Likes

The college campus is very spacious with all the neccessary facilities inside the campus itself. The seniors and other students on the campus are very approachive and helpful. The girls to boys ratio is almost same as much as i have witnessed.
The faculties are also highly qualified and experienced. They approach each student and provide individual mentorship as well. The placement cell is also highly active and provides aid to students regularly on placements and internships.
The college infrastructure and campus is great to have a awesome college life. There are enough computer labs and libraries for students. Also one can enjoy varieties of food at the college canteen.

Dislikes

The attendance policy and exam writing criteria is sometimes hectic as it is strict.
You are not allowed inside the campus without id card, without shoes even if you approve it with the higher officials. The security officials will stop you at the gate itself. It is very frustrating sometimes.
You will hear a lot of outside noises of vehicle and other activities as the college is situated at the city centre surrounded by tech parks and industries.

Placement Experience:

The college provides almost 90% placement as per records. The students are eligible for campus placements from fifth semester. They are trained to sit in the placements by the placemment cell of the college. Capgemini, infosys,wells fargo, walmart, TCS, Wipro etc are some of the companies which visits the college. As per 2024 records the highest placement made was approx 7.8 lakh per annum.

Likes

The seminars and workshops are great the teachings is also excellent
We have lots of events going on which helps us to interact with other students and know them which is great for socializing and helps us to build our confidence
The faculty's ways of teaching is very easy to grasp which is great to understand and learn easily

Dislikes

The timings of the college for lunch break can be extended a bit more for like an hour
Lab hours can be reduced per day as it if 2 hours straight which can be made one hour
More seminars for students to know about other things other than job and studied

BCA is one of the most trending course right now and the course had different course certificate which would make my knowledge even more goood and we have internships which prepares us for the jobs and interviews and even for further studies The timings is 2 and half an hour which can be increased for 3 hours I feel as we have theories to right

The Best college and such a good environment

Likes

The college is very good, and has very good environment.
The campus is very specious and has good infrastructure and friendly staffs and faculties
They provide very good placement opportunities and maximum placement

Dislikes

There isn’t much dislike, it is one of the best college
But need to improve seating arrangements in the campus
And need to provide good WiFi facilities

Is new horizon is good to take admission??

Likes

Saragam college fest which is one of the biggest fest in banglore. And so many concert which will keep happening
Placements are so good. Top companies will be coming. If you have relevant skills you would be placed very easily
The campus is so pretty the infrastructure is too notch

Dislikes

The teachers are not the active. They don't respond easily
The lab facilities are so bad, and for bca they don't do practicals well
The library should upgrade more coz there is so many people but the benches are less.

So as I love coding i chose this course and best part is if any chance I'm not interested I can go for non technical as well. And this course is teaching so many different programming languages as well other subjects too. They can actually select teachers properly and give them only those subjects which they are good with. Every month we'll have test and that is for 20 marks each. And it would be very easy

The friends( I made a lot of friendly and nice people in the college
The institution is a big and has a lot of space, the campus is nature friendly
The professor are kind and understanding towards the student

My course is bachelor of computer applications which I find very interesting to learn and there are various activities that are in my department of bachelor of computer application we have activities that are conducted almost every week and every activity is considered to be different than the activities we always do previously

A nature friendly college.

Likes

The college is very beautiful and the food that offers in the canteen is very good. Me and my friends always have the food from the canteen because of its taste and it also very affordable prices. There are a wide range of cuisine.
In this college we can play many games and there are turf, Basketball ground , Badminton court.
The teachers are very nice and good behaviour.

Dislikes

The room in the hostel is not very good but our room is good.
The hostel mess is not at all good and it is not at all healthy.
The teaching method is not very good and many teachers don't know English very much.

No proper leave schedule. Semester breaks are way less compared to other colleges

NHCM is class apart

Our campus has many colleges and hence we get to interact with students of various domain.
For those interested in sports, can have the time of their lives as we have ample sporting facilities at our campus.

Placement Experience:

Placements are excellent as nearly 20 companies come for placements every year. Once we enter the penultimate semester, we can enroll ourselves at the T&P department. They train us and make sure we are ready to sit for the placements. Almost 100% is what our college's track record is in terms of placements from the last few years. Companies like Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, and others who have their offices in Bengaluru offered placements worth 4 to 15 lakhs to students of our department.

Pretty good atmosphere in our college because our college is situated
The location of my college is decent because of easy availability of transport buses
The teachers in our college are very friendly and lenient

Dislikes

There's no enough freedom for us in our college.We can't do things we want like in other colleges
If we are late to class by 5 minutes we would have to stand outside the whole period.
If we miss to wear ID card or shoe for one day we will be fined with heavy amount and also get suspended for 3 days

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester the college placement starts usually in our college.Some of the companies that have visited our college are Wipro, Infosys, TCS,IBM and much more leading tech giants.They have made offers from 3LPA to 15LPA.60% of the students get placed through our placement cell.My plan after pursuing my degree is to study MCA.
