The overall faculty of the fine arts department is satisfactorily good.
The seats are good in the class is a good strength projector good stuff there is people always helping each other.
To be honest amity university kolkata gives placement very well.

Dislikes

Food are not good and healthy sometime can cause food poisoning
Transportation could be problematic due to the college's location off the main route, leading delays and inconvenience for students commuting to and from campus.
The biggest con for the hostel student is they are not allowed to go out during weekdays. This becomes highly inconvenient in some situations and also during some emergency.

Inside Amity Kolkata

Likes

Faculty is great. They are experienced in their field and will go way out to help.
Equipment needed in labs are top-notch. There are also air conditioned labs and provides great value for industrial exposure.
Surrounding is noise free and also uploads values of culture and religions, includes hostel as well.

Dislikes

The fee price is expensive and can be taken into consideration.
Food of more varieties can be included for veg and non-veg
Hotel fees is expensive and can be looked for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to go for a field having Biology in it. Thus biology and tech made a good option for me. MY course incuded much more than Biotech. It had French, Pscycology, environmnet sci, Marketing and also a lot of sports imnvolved. There were 2 semesters per year. The teaching methods are quite good along with modern tech. Labs were well equiped and also propoer dress code was maobted during pracyical lessons.

My academics and campus life at amity university kolkata

Likes

The infrastructure of this college is damn good.
The teachers are well educated. Some of them are from IITs and NITs also.
The girls to boys ratio is excellent. It is about 1:1

Dislikes

The campus size is so small, it is about only 10 acres.

Placement Experience:

Yes, there is a placement cell at the university campus. It conducts placement related activities and programs for the students. Students are eligible for the campus placement from the 5th semester. Some companies visit the campus to hire the students. Some of the companies are E&Y, SAP, Deloitte, TCS and they have made total approximately 40 offers out of 100 students. The highest and average package of our university is 28Lakhs and 5-6Lakhs for the role of SDE. The percentage of students getting placements if about 40-45%. The seniors told me that the companies offer good packages to the students. I am in my second year so I do not have much information about it. After completing degree from this university, I'm thinking to appear for GATE examination as I want to do my Master's from IIT's.

The campus is well organised and properly maintained.
The food is very hygienic and the canteen is well maintained.
The lab facilities as well as the designated faculties are very nice.

Dislikes

The strict rule of 75% attandance makes us worry a lot of times.
There are delayed maintainance of the assigned classroom.
The maintainance of college lift is too poor.

From 5-6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The name of the companies visited are Deloitte, amazon, Goldman sachs, bosch, itc, wipro, sap, etc.the highest package offered to amity was 32 LPA.

Likes

Infrastructure is quite good with all the facilities and free wifi
There are 3 canteens and all three provide good and affordable food within rs.50
There's no restrictions regarding outfit and you get a good exposure with lot of people and experiences

Dislikes

Attendance is way too strict and they don't allow to sit for end semester if you don't have 75% Attendance
Semester fees is a lot compared to other colleges and they take a good amount of fine if it's not payed within time
Most of the faculties are approachable and helpful and they also take regular practical classes but 1 or 2 of them are very casual and most of the students don't understand or learn which eventually becomes a problem in exam

Placement Experience:

Since I'm in first year I don't have much knowledge about the placements but they provide good placements but it would take time if you rely on college. 10k-30k is the average placements salary provided. Most of the students get placed from final year. But getting a decent salary after completing UG is a bit tricky but if you have good score then it won't be much of a problem but doing pg and phd is what I'll prefer for myself.

Sweet and bitter

Likes

The ambience and atmosphere is really peaceful
The library and empty slaves are great to have a solo time

Dislikes

The events or the chaotic concerts doesn't suit me

Well I chose this course cuz we are entering an era of technological advancement and to keep up with the world you gotta get yourself better with proficient skillset and I always had knack for computers too so that's why.

Huge Campus enabling the presence of every needed point of interest.
Vast varieties of backgrounds for students to come and share ideas with one another.
Location which makes it quite accessible and not hard to commute.

Dislikes

Some of the washrooms are damaged, not fixed since long but the huge amount of washrooms compensate for it.
Waterlogged walking areas in and in front of the university when its raining heavily, making it inaccessible or hard to access.
Canteen gets crowded very easily making it hard to find a spot during peak hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a nack for technology hence my choice to choose this course. This course makes us quite world ready with many lab works and real world problems to work with and multiple hackathons that take place within the university help us prepare for problems in a short period of time.

Teachers are excellent in their field of teaching.
The infrastructure is very good and attractive.
The event that the college organised is outstanding.

Dislikes

Toilet are not clean and the management should look on this issue.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since childhood I decided to go towards the field of engineering which influenced me to choose this course. There are many events hosts by our university related to our couse which prepares us for real-world applications. They should host such events more and more for our improvement. Exams difficulty is moderate.

It's a nice college

Likes

The faculty is nice and helpful. They provide all the necessary books links and pdfs.
The infrastructure is beautiful. You'll have beautiful places to sit and relax.
The library has almost all the books you need related to your course.

Dislikes

75% attendance is mandatory. Gaming rooms are almost never available.
If you want internships then you'll have to figure it out by yourself.

Placement Experience:

The average package is 5-6 lakhs per annum. The highest package till date is 32 lakhs. If no campus placements are offered then you can even interview for placements outside of college campus. It might be difficult to get placements on campus for average students.

A deep dive into Amity University Kolkata

College have modern amenities, modern infrastructure
Faculty is good and helpfull canteens have huge variety of food
Bank, library, clinic all are available in campus

Dislikes

High amount of Paperwork and assignments are there
Sports culture is very much less in this college
Campus is not so big and proper playground not available

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good the average package they provide in a btech computer science engineering course is 8-10 lacs per annum highest package offered was 32 lacs per annum.More than 90% students got placed in 2023 placements. My plan after getting this degree is to study for cybersecurity course.

Classrooms are well maintained and of decent size
The library is actually the best place in the entire campus
There is a lot of greenery throughout the campus and is good in terms of cleanliness

Dislikes

The class timings is something which almost everyone dislikes
The exam schedule and holiday lists can be provided a bit early for the students
The canteen has only veg food available and is also not up to the mark

The placements here are not really bad it all actually depends on the students and how good there preparation is . The college offers its students to sit for placement after following some basic conditions

FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS

The university provides an ample amount of scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level with different flexibilities. Merit scholarships are provided with 100% to 25% margin. Up till now 25000 scholarships have been granted to students. The fee structure is affordable as compared to other Amity colleges situated in India. For B.Tech, the fee is Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 1.5 lakh for M.Sc.

PLACEMENTS
