Likes

The overall faculty of the fine arts department is satisfactorily good.
The seats are good in the class is a good strength projector good stuff there is people always helping each other.
To be honest amity university kolkata gives placement very well.

Dislikes

Food are not good and healthy sometime can cause food poisoning
Transportation could be problematic due to the college's location off the main route, leading delays and inconvenience for students commuting to and from campus.
The biggest con for the hostel student is they are not allowed to go out during weekdays. This becomes highly inconvenient in some situations and also during some emergency.

The classroom size is usually good and also well maintained
The library is really good with comfortable seats and good wifi speed
The campus is clean and very hygienic as well

Dislikes

The class timings are very odd... sometimes there is a gap of almost 3 hours between 2 classesv
No proper schedule is provided also at times classes are scheduled few hours prior
There is language issue faced by non bengoli students from other states

Placement Experience:

I really don't know much about the placements here because currently I am a 1st year student here.But from what I have heard usually there are a lot of mass recruitment companies which visit our college during the placements season

The classrooms are well mentioned and has enough space
The library has a lot of books available related to each and every course
The campus is of decent size and also most of the faculty is very helpful

Dislikes

At times during the first few semester you can have as much as 9 classes in a single day
The attendance policy is very strict,almost all the students face this problem
You are not provided with the holiday list and also many holidays are not even considered here

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very much similar to that of any other engineering college in India.The only thing that I think can be improved is the number of subjects in every semester can be reduced a bit as it becomes very hectic for a student to make time for their personal interests

Likes

Campus is very good and infrastructure are well
Placement is excellent and they offer good package
Faculty are very experienced and they treat us like their child

Dislikes

Attendance it's 75 percent which I hate the most
Canteen doesn't contain chicken which is my fav dish
Every one came from big family and to much rich

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester should are eligible for campus placement companies name are amizone Google then wipro etc highest package was 34 lakh and average of 6 lakh 70 percent of students get placement from college

I choose this course because I love computer and want to become an engineer.this course has high demand in market. There is job opportunities too. The exams are moderate they neither easy nor that tough. The faculty are good

Friendly environment and nice friends and faculties
Various facilities available inside college.
Canteen food is up to the mark. Not the best, but good.

Dislikes

Washroom facility is very bad, unclean and not maintained
Students do lot of drinking and smoking right outside the college
The placement is not garented here. Not worth the money and hype

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it is very special in itself. But due to personal reasons (not have both maths ans bio in 12th being one of them), i would not able to apply is other colleges. This college let me do so. The faculty is good, and friendly. If we talk to them, they suggest various things to note.

Amity is Good

Likes

The faculty, they go from bench to bench to clear doubts
Seniors, are cooperative and don't rag their juniors
campus is full of greenery with plentiful places to sit and enjoy

Dislikes

Attendance, they create ruckus about giving attendance
Class timing, sometimes they extend classes beyond 4:30 pm
The campus is located much outside Kolkata, and commutation is difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is well-equipped with modern-day technologies. Professors are involved in government-aided research. For biotechnology, there are 25 faculty members for core biotechnology, with parallel subjects being taught by teachers of respective departments.

Opportunities to build yourself at various events the college conducts and build yourself a name and personality
Well-behaved seniors - unexpectedly they are a better mate than your class peers
Fest Culture you do not get bored and be burdened with pressure something to cheer you up is always by the corner

Dislikes

Extremes, Amity tests both extremes of a college student . Postive. Negative.
Hostel feels like jail sometimes with a bit restricted pass system to get out of it for outing
Amity not always keeps a promise! We were promised of a gym before joining no work done and we are done with our 1st sems

Placement Experience:

BTech courses have been targetted with placements here in Amity and make the news. Other courses see less placement opportunities. Placements peaked 2023 season with 32.40 LPA as the highest package offered to a BTech CSE student by Amazon

Likes

Seniors, no chance of ragging and their friendly nature
Teachers, going from bench to bench to clarify doubts
Leaning chairs, as if it's a movie theatre. Spacious class rooms

Dislikes

Strict routine, with very less free periods
Attendance issues. Mentors are strict with attendance.
Sometimes they extend classes beyond 5:30 pm in the evening

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty of Biotechnology department at Amity is excellent. We have mentors for each section(around 45-47 students). Faculty members are involved in government aided reasearch and were even involved in reasearch abroad. We have around 25 faculty members for core biotechnology. Paralled subjects are taken by teachers of respective departments.

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue biotechnology. faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:16 The faculty mentioned that teachers are quite educated and good at their profession. There is one internal exam and one external exam with practicals every semester.

Campusing, college life , Well behaved Teacher.
Overall college life is very good for students looking for good both studying and having curricullam activites.
Placements of the college is very good. Our college has been marked no 1 private university in west Bengal.

Dislikes

Cantten foods should have added chicken.
Min cgpa to avail placements should have been 7.0 instead of 7.5

The campus is offered in our college. We can apply for internships and jobs from our official amity site online for students. The avg package of salary is 5Lpa starting. A percentage of the students has to have 7.5cgpa to sit for placements. After getting the degree I plan to do M.Tech.

Amity University is a premiere institute of Kolkata established in 2015 offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various courses. The university can be reviewed on the following parameters:

FEES & SCHOLARSHIPS

The university provides an ample amount of scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level with different flexibilities. Merit scholarships are provided with 100% to 25% margin. Up till now 25000 scholarships have been granted to students. The fee structure is affordable as compared to other Amity colleges situated in India. For B.Tech, the fee is Rs. 7 lakh and Rs. 1.5 lakh for M.Sc.

PLACEMENTS

University’s Average package is Rs. 4 lakhs while Highest Package is Rs. 28 lakhs. The major recruiters are Amazon, BYJU’s, Federal Bank, Deloitte, and KPMG.
