Hostel Facilities:

Hostel rooms Both single and double sharing with attached washrooms Decent food. Token system bidding process and we have hostels available at 3 locations with pretty good rooms but we have a transit campus with hostel far from campus. Day scholars are not allowed

My Journey in IIM Amritsar

Hostel Facilities:

The students are staying in two hostels which are 4-5 kilometers apart from each other. One of the hostel which accomodates 100 students has centralized AC, and the other hostel which accomodates 400 students has air cooler facility. The rooms are double sharing, and cleaing is done daily. I food is mostly north indian, and myself as a south indian found difficult to adapt. Hostel is mandatory and available to all the students. The hostels are located in the city, and it is easy to access other places like hotels, temples, etc.

The hostel facility is pretty good. We have a flat system with 4 -6 people living in a flat depending on how big the flat is. The food is nice and the menu keeps changing every 3 months. The registration process is very simple.

When will IIM Amritsar shift to New Campus?

IIM Amritsar New Campus work is still in progress. The first phase was expected to finish in March 2023. Yet construction work is left. So, the exact date of shifting is not disclosed by IIM Amritsar.
