- travel time from college to hostel was sometimes frustrating
- the location of the hostel where convenience was an issue
Campus Life:
The overall experience was very energetic as we had various students from various background and the cultural mix was good too. The overall tech and equipment was according to latest standards and decent.
Likes
- Placement support from college was really good. As there was problem in the job market the placements post MBA for all the colleges were having problems but IIM Amritsar helped the students with placement support in every was possible
- Good interaction with the faculties and the faculties are very helpful.
Dislikes
- The campus for the college is not yet ready so the students have to travel through bus form hostel to campus to attend lec which can be hectic as the lectures are being spread throughout the day.
- Very few inhouse faculty staying long term here. Most of the faculty here are visiting.
Campus Life:
The campus life was good and there were people from all over India. Events were there for every student to interact with each other. There were various kinds of events. The student bodies helped shaping the personalities of the student.

Campus Life:
There are 2 hostels at IIM Amr. One is at Blessings city and other at Metropolis. The Blessings city has flats where students share flats while metropolis has doule occupancy rooms. Blessings has open fields for outdoor activities while Metro has ACs.
Likes
- Himachal is just few hours from the hostels so we used to enjoy our weekend in Himachal
- Supportive faculties, like there are some faculties which are really supportive and will help you in any situation
Dislikes
- Low quality transportation- The buses hired for transporation doesnt have AC, they are very poor standard buses.
- The distance between College Campus and Hostel is 12km. So travelling is big issue. Poor Campus Infrastructure
Campus Life:
The infrastructure was very poor as classes used to happen in a government polytechnic college. As new campus was not ready yet, they have taken a society on a lease. The accommodation in these societies was good but to attend classes we have to travel for around 40Mins one way. The distance between the academic building and the hostel is 12 kms, so lot of time gets wasted in travelling although they provided buses for transportation but these buses are of very low quality. There were no AC in Hostels as well as in Buses, so during the summer season it is very difficult to manage. Amritsar has very extreme weather conditions, The temperature is very high and travelling in that heat to attend classes that too with a Non AC bus was very Challenging. Personal vehicles were allowed in the hostel. There is one Medical room, where doctor visits everyday. The overall campus life was good, but it would have been much better if they had shifted us to new campus. Talking about social aspects every festival was celebrated with very much enthusiasm. Many cultural events, activities take place through out the year. Cultural committee plays a vital role. So nightlife was good, students used roam on the pathways late in the night, there is only one Shop in the Hostel Premises. It is open till midnight. Roaming Outside the hostel premises in the night is not safe, as no street lights there and thefts incidents had happened. The Major fest is Arunya which happens once in a year, many celebrities such as Ankit Tiwari, Kumar Varun performs during the fest. There are Many Clubs and Committees students joins these according to their area of interest. Placement Committee and Industry Interaction Committee is Most important in terms of value addition, As you get a chance to interact with various industries and you have to get them on to the campus so lot of learning and networking chance for students. Student exchange program is also available with kedge university in France. right now this is the only university available for the student exchange program

- Environment overall, people, some of the faculty (teaching wise)
- Activities that take place throughout the year
Dislikes
- Travel time I’m bus daily, is tiring and hectic
- Sometimes the environment become so much competitive
Campus Life:
9 committee, 11 clubs, 3 cell 2 cell in process Life at IIM Amritsar is fun, it's like home way from home. Not denying the fact that, the environment is competitive in terms of placement and studies but cultural part is good There is cultural committee, performing so well. You can also check our culcom insta page. I'm part of merchandising and sponsorship committee

- The environment of the college really helps you get ready to face the corporate world after the degree.
- The faculty, staff, senior and peers are all very helpful and supportive.
Campus Life:
The classrooms are well-equipped with modern amenities. These include air-conditioned rooms, well-network connectivity, and digital classrooms. The college library holds a good collection of books and also provides online reading materials through various website subscriptions. The college has its own student-driven bodies as the committees that look after student welfare, placements, cultural activities, and different other fields.
Likes
- Some of the faculties are really good and cooperative
- The placement scenario is quite decent for a Newer IIM.
Dislikes
- We are currently operating out of a temporary campus and it will take two more years for our permanent campus to get build.
Campus Life:
The annual fest of IIM Amritsar is called AArunya, it takes place in the month of March. A wide variety of books are available in our college library, and classrooms are equipped with all times of amenities such as projectors, boards, AC, etc. All types of sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged within the campus. There are a total of 25 student-run bodies which include several Committees, Clubs, and Cells.
Likes
- Hostel life, Faculties, Class Discussions.
- Ample opportunities to learn, grow and network.
Dislikes
- Daily transit from Hostel to College is unbearable.
- Strict rule on attendance (80%), else grade drops.
Campus Life:
The online library and resources are amazing. Books and other journals are also ample. Classrooms have AC, projectors, and teaching assistants. Sports facilities include Pool, TT, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Basketball, and Badminton. Many clubs and committees organize events - academic as well as fun activities.
Likes
- Sports facilities and recreation room for fun
- Hostels and rooms allotted. Plenty of space
Dislikes
- No permanent campus. Have to go in buses to college
- Mess food quite expensive but not as good.
Campus Life:
There are 20+ clubs committees and cells. There is ample opportunity to socialise and network. There are good sports facilities as well. They are maintained by the student-run Sports Committee. Other facilities are also maintained by student run bodies.
Likes
- The faculties are knowledgeable and approachable.
- The hostel and mess facilities are very good.
Dislikes
- Distance between transit campus and hostel, it takes 30 mins to travel one way.
Campus Life:
IIM Amritsar conducts 5 business conclaves in an academic year. Aarunya, the cultural, sports, and business fest, is organized by the college. IIM Amritsar currently does not have its own campus, and the transit campus is situated at the Punjab Institute of Technology. The library consists of both offline and online materials to assist the students. Also, the institute ID enables the students to access premium journals and tools. All the classrooms are IT enabled and have all the necessary facilities. The sports infrastructure is good at IIM Amritsar. All the major sports facilities, including both indoor and outdoor are available at hostel premises.
