IIM Bodh Gaya Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement is above average with average salary above 11 lac and median above 10.82 lac. Good companies visit college are excellent and varying in nature. The companies come for diverse roles of Finance, Operations, Marketing

Placements start in the 4th term which is pretty much after the summer internships. The highest package was 18 lakhs and the average is around 10 LPA which is pretty good for a baby IIM. The major companies which visited for the finals are Crompton, AGS, Mahindra, Bisleri, Byjus, BNY, SBI, Kotak etc. The companies which visit the campus most of the time makes sure that they atleast take 1 student. Most of the students get placed and the only way a student doesn’t get placed will be the reason for having a cgpa less than 5 which makes him or her not eligible for placements.

Campus placements are above average at IIM Bodhgaya. The final placements of 2020 have an average placement of 11.02 LPA and the median was 10.5 LPA. More than 150+ companies came for placement. The major recruiter was Maruti Suzuki, HDFC bank, EY etc. The placement for 2021 is still going with major recruiters like SBI, Kotak Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, BNY and others visited the campus. Highest package of a batch of 2020 was 20 LPA. Final year students are eligible for final year placement but some get a pre-placement offer from their summer internship opportunities. For summers too more than 200 + companies offer summer internship to students. All the student need to get a GPA above 5 point for placement which is easy to get. Thus placement usually complete at the end of March in the or first week of April for the batch.

The placement is good. For my batch, the average will be around 11-12 LPA. The highest package offered was around 50lpa. Apart from these companies from a diverse range of sectors visits the campus. For summer internships, the opportunities are nonetheless with some of the student bagging internships in JP Morgan, KPMG etc

The IIM brand associated with the institute, IIM Bodhgaya, was one of the most important factor in selecting the institute. Apart from the above average placements, what drove me to take admission was the culture of the college. The seniors were very interactive and helpful just after the conversion. From the city meet in Delhi, I became sure about going into IIM Bodhgaya. I was hooked from day 1 of conversion and the dedication shown by the senior batch made quite an impression. I am lucky to join IIM Bodhgaya it doesn't matter whether it is a baby IIM or is working in a temporary campus.

One of the major factor was it is one of prestigious college to pursue MBA. Beside the infrastructure, connectivity, placements, peer group, strong alumni network, pedagogy, highly qualified teachers and diversity are the main reason for joining this college.

A negative aspect is the regularities that one has to deal with in Bihar. Metro students might take a little while to adjust to this lifestyle. The location enjoys a very low level of pollution and is serene.

There are lot of positives that I have already discussed. There can be some improvements as well, like we are currently focused on building our own permanent campus, and since the land has been allocated to us, the work has started and it is expected to be done by end of 2021. Thus, some facilities are there that could have been improved, but overall life is good in IIM BG.
