The B.Tech Applicants of ASTU must be a citizen of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam with a valid PRF provided by a competent Authority.

Is there an Age limit for B.Tech admission to ASTU?

The University follows the guidelines of the state examination authority that is Assam CEE and complies with it. These are the requirements:The applicants must not be below 17 years of age as on August 01 of the admission year.The upper age limit of the candidates for B.Tech admission in Assam is 21 years.For SC/ ST categories, the upper age limit is 25 years.B.Sc graduates who wish to pursue B.Tech must note that the upper age limit for them is 22 years.

Candidates who have more than 85% of marks in Class 12 and hold the first position in the Assam higher secondary examinations are exempted from entrance test. These students are eligible for direct admission in government engineering colleges.

My experience in the college.

Likes

The college is quite good . It has a good name in the society.The college is sorrounded by the mountains which makes the college more lovable.
The faculty members of the college is very good in teaching and helps every student with their studies and other work.
The college also have good placement system .

Dislikes

The campus of the college is not very big that is one thing i don't like.
Some of the chemicals of the labs are expired .
Gives a lot of assignments and regular classes.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester the students become elogible for the campus placement. Many companies came for placement and offered a lot of placement for the students. Some of the companies like sun pharma niper etc visited our college.About 70% student got placements.

I like the teaching style of the faculties.
Classroom and the laboratory room are too comfortable to study

The lab facility and faculty members and over all I love the college.And female candidates are less than male candidates in B pharm and D pharm both the courses.Mentors also doing their job professionally and took care as a guardian.

Dislikes

There are some person expense at the last semester for the project work as you have to buy your own chemical for your own project .This is only for last sem project.

Placement Experience:

From 8th sem students are eligible for placement. I planned for govt jobs. The company like Ajanta , Sun pharma , ozone are giving best packages. All industries 1st take as a trainee after training sallary package will increase .

Detailed Review of Girijananda Chowdhury University

I liked the facilities available there were a lot of equipments in our labs and most of them were in very good condition and also the teachers were very kind amd helpful
I liked the environment the aura the people the vibe was really good and the place was really peaceful
There were a lot of events going on the university like food fest euphuism and a lot more so students can participate in all the co curricular activities and gain experience and fun

Dislikes

The canteen did not really had much options and initially the food wasn't that good but later it got better
The construction work never seem to stopped and it caused a little bit of commotion and unwanted disturbance in the College environment
The campus could have been bigger and should have a lot more benches for the students to sit and relax

Remarks:

Our institute has a good rank in pharmaciutical science and technological engineering. And the faculties are also very highly qualified. Because of these and many more factors are made me choose this institute.
