Student Snaps:

Faculty:

The faculty members at IIIT Lucknow are well qualified, knowledgeable academically strong, with most of them holding PhD degrees from reputed institutes. faculty-to-student ratio is decent, which allows proper interaction between students and teachers. Most faculties are approachable and supportive, especially when it comes to academics, projects, internships, and research guidance. Students can easily reach out to professors during class hours or after lectures for doubt clarification. The faculty student relationship is professional yet friendly. Many professors encourage discussions, classroom interaction, and practical understanding rather than just theoretical learning. Some faculties are particularly appreciated for their clear teaching methods, structured lectures, and willingness to mentor students, especially in core computer science subjects.Since teaching styles differ, a few faculties are more strict and exam-oriented, which some students may find difficult initially. However, this strictness helps in maintaining academic discipline and improving performance over time rather than being a major drawback.Course structure is well-designed and relevant, focusing on core subjects like programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, and mathematics, along with labs and projects. The curriculum is industry-aligned and helps students prepare for placements and higher studies.Exam system usually consists of mid-semester exams, end-semester exams, quizzes, assignments, labs, and project evaluations. Exams are moderately difficult, and consistent study is required to score well. A small percentage of students struggle to clear exams mainly due to lack of regular study, but overall the evaluation system is fair and transparent. The marking scheme includes internal assessment and end-semester evaluation, ensuring that students are graded on continuous performance rather than a single exam.

Faculty:

The faculty-to-student ratio is reasonable, but the issue lies more in the teaching approach rather than numbers. In general, the relationship between students and faculty is quite formal. Most professors are not very approachable beyond classroom lectures. They come, deliver their slides, and leave. Doubt-clearing sessions or mentorship outside classes are rare, so students rely heavily on seniors, peers, and self-study There are usually two main exams per semester (Mid-Semester and End-Semester), along with assignments, quizzes, and lab evaluations. The difficulty level is moderate to tough depending on the subject

The student and teacher ratio will be around 15:1 , which is very good for your academic development , they are easily approachable , the faculties like varun sharma , dheeraj mishra, neeraj vishwakarma are very good in teaching as well as personality, there are no any teacher whom i dont like, it may be possible that someone don't like the way of teaching but i think there is no student which are like this, there are mainly 2 exams in each semester . first is mid sem and secon one is End sem. each semester is of 200 marks . End sem have 100 marks , mid sem have 40 marks and remaining 60 percent marks includes internal quiz , assignment , attendence . The toughness of exam depends of the nature of faculties , some faculty makes tough paper and some faculties make easier paper .Very less amount of student fells in the exam , negligible, The course curriculum is structured as per demand of industry .So there is very high scope of growth. You will build better understanding of business , finance and economics , Application of these knowledge will improve your productivity.

IIIT Lucknow: 1 Answered Question

Which IIIT has a top class faculty, IIIT Guwahati or IIIT Lucknow?

Sanovar Lohia
Sayantan DeyStudied at Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur (2019)

When you compare both these colleges for their faculty, in my view, they both have top notch faculty.

  • All the professors and teachers at both these colleges have completed their education with PhDs from very well reputed IITs and NITs. So there isn’t much scope to question their quality.
  • A few friends of mine have studied at IIIT Lucknow and as per their experiences, the faculty at the college is very helpful and kind to the students.
  • In my opinion, the same should be the case with IIIT Guwahati as it is known to be a premier institute with national importance and it is also being mentored by IIT Guwahati.

For example, IIIT Bhagalpur is also mentored by IIT Guwahati so most students are aware that the faculty and academic environment is good here. As the case with IIIT Lucknow is also similar – where it is being mentored by IIIT Allahabad which is known for its coding culture and is one of the top IIITs across the country, you will not have a reason to doubt the institute.

So, both colleges are equally good as they are being mentored by some of the best institutes in the country and have good faculty.
