To gain admission to the college, students must first take the JEE Mains examination and then register on the JoSAA website to select their preferred colleges and departments. The Mining Engineering department is particularly distinguished for its strong placement record as of 2016. The department is supported by a highly qualified faculty, many of whom have advanced degrees and extensive field experience, with some having worked in managerial roles at Coal India and CMPDIL or pursued studies at prestigious institutions like Harvard.
