Placement services are also good . around 60 percent student get placed
Dislikes
I really disliked how late our semester exam are held. this causes problem for 6th sem students as they can't apply for other places early.
The placement is really not good and many of the students hated internships and jobs for the medical representative designation.
The staff gets rude sometimes and are not helpful ( some of them)

Why To Join University of Calcutta - Reviews & Rating
The college is good to enjoy college life. If someone is. Interested in smoking, politics and class bunking then the college is bet for them.and if someone looking for routined class and good disciplined college then its not for them. Over all it's a good and famous college. The advantage of this college is that students feels proud to be a student of this college.
Every colleges have their positive and negatives in my 3 year experience I did not noticed much of negatives on my college. most of my experience was awesome. Although I want to mention some of the negatives below. Loose and labs are not well lit by the natural light.
There is no lifts so I have to climb stairs to the 3rd floor for classes.
Our college ground its small it is good enough for one team to play a game but there is no room for two teams to play at once.
these problems are not exactly real life problems but I thought I need to mention them.
Every where there is a positive and negative happend. Our college also have it.but there is mostly positive.which i told that previously.but negative part is too much pressure of college union is happed.
The college is run by monks so there are strict weird rules that we have to follow like attending prayers etc. or there is a good chance of getting indefinite suspension or TC. The college does not allow smartphone or laptop or any other electronic gadgets which makes it impossible to study something new or get help from internet and it makes the college not suitable for a computer Science degree at all despite the brilliant faculty.
Positive - Good faculty, good campus, no political issues to interfere, good environment for studying, labs, washrooms, canteens are clean.
Negative - No placements properly available, holidays limited.
The college gives ample opportunities for the students to harness every bit of their talents. The college also inundates a sense of politics into those who are interested. There are debates and programs to make people aware of the social issues.
In India last two years
NIRF Ranking 9th and 2nd. The college serves great education and great life changing lessons. The college premises is very much well decorated with flower trees. The college has a breathtaking stock of books.
The positive part have been mentioned above. Well about the cons , there is the Maharaj system which has control over the administration and hence overall there is a dictatorship behavior of administration over the students. Many a times, the administration never listen to what the students need. Also in this modenr age the college doesnot encourage students to keep phones/ laptops with them, although the college does provide computer facilities and libraries which are totally excellent.
One can get proper education to build a great life in all aspects in this college. In this 21st century, this college still believes the 'Upanisad' method for students, and also tries to implement that, which I think helpful for a student in their future life. A greeny surroundings with a spiritual atmosphere' is line probably explains our college best.
The structure is good and it is a renowned college in Kolkata. The college is famous for commerce. There is a lot of scope of the job as our teacher guides us so overall the college has given a student a job opportunity for his life.
