Course Details
Asutosh College offers three-year B.Sc and BA course as Honors/ Major/ General/ in various disciplines. BBA course is only offered as an Honors course.
Candidates applying should have passed HSC with minimum 50% marks for an Honors course with 45% marks in the subjects in which the application is sought. Similarly, for General course candidate should have passed HSC with 40% marks.
Selection to each UG course is on the basis of merit list. Merit list is drawn considering candidate’s marks in top four subjects in the qualifying exam i.e. HSC. Admission to BBA (Hons.) is done on the basis of GD/PI.

Key Points:
- Applicant should have compulsorily passed English in HSC or equivalent.
- Candidate shall not be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 years in education from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
- However, the year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating this 5 year period.
- 5% relaxation is given to SC/ ST candidates in the qualifying exam criteria

- College study is so good. That's why we don't have to take too many private tutor.
- Library facility is much good. There is many types of books for Honours, Major and general students.
Dislikes
- I've no idea about it. I don't see any bad thing in college atmosphere.
- Outer side of the college is full of smokers.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Some teachers take tutions. But after college studies we don't want any private tutor. There is a chance to consession for poor students. 100% scholarships granted by college. Specially SVMCM scholarship and Kanyashree for girls. For geography honours the amount is 8240.

- Asutosh College is one of the best college under Calcutta University.
- In this college there are so many regulations.

- I think there are need to change the fees .
- There should change some technology instruments .

From class 10 Vivekananda scholarship application applied by me and for that scholarship i earn almost 36000 . And our college fees is also adjustable for every student which i think . There is no need to chance our education and fees policy .
Likes
- The proffersors are great. The laboratories are great and fully equipped with instruments and books. There is no such thing called ragging in Asutosh College. There are annual programs, fests, cultural programs, seminars, placement programs, etcs.
- The college is very very good. There are 30 subjects taught in our Asutosh college. And all of them are well equipped, well facilitated.
Dislikes
- Nothing as such is to be hated, there is no problem.
- Nothing as such is to be disliked, there is no issues.

The fees is okay. There is no hikes in our college. Sem wise is 82400. Tuition fees somewhere about 2k-3k. Geography is a costly subject to study. Involves instruments. Swami Vivekananda scholarship, etcs is there to provide the education aid to the students to secure a good marks in their previous education background. It gives 12,000 to BA students and 18,000 to BSc Students. There is NCC.

Per year we need to pay around 6000 rupees for 3 long years. Govt. Of West Bengal gave us an opportunity to get some scholarships from govt. And our college staff were super supportive to get that amount as soon as possible. Our course doesn't provide us with that opportunity to get camping so we are unlucky about that.

The college fee is nearly 6000 to 7000 rupees per year. Separate fees for examination are also taken. There are scholarships offered by the State Government. However, as far as I know, no scholarships were offered by the College itself.

The fee structure was 7000/- year during our time which may vary now due to change in the semester system. Concessions can be implemented in case of financial issues. The campus does not provide us with internships or placement guarantees.

No fees hike it's a low cost government college which provide many poor students to fulfill their dreams. Swami vivekananda scholarship and any other scholarship is acceptable here with the Calcutta university scholarship given by themselves. Those who want to be a professor can easily get jobs through here

The admission fee is much lower than any other college which is 560/- only. But semester wise admission fees is too high that is 5700 rs. and it increases by 10 rs. with every semester.

Yes WB. Government give us a scholarship based on our marks. So we need to perform well and then we can able to get the scholarship. And if you thinking about the college portion in scholarship then in the ground floor there has the office of Asutosh college. And on the 1st floor has the Vice principal room. You can do anything whatever you want but you have to wait sometime.

Many scholarship and loans are available for sc st students and minority students. Nothing available for genaral caste students. It helps may students to continue study. I have not availed any scholarship form college.
