Remarks

The positive part have been mentioned above. Well about the cons , there is the Maharaj system which has control over the administration and hence overall there is a dictatorship behavior of administration over the students. Many a times, the administration never listen to what the students need. Also in this modenr age the college doesnot encourage students to keep phones/ laptops with them, although the college does provide computer facilities and libraries which are totally excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The undergraduate clurse curriculum which i have experienced is fantastic. It is totally focussed on laying a solid foundation of basics on the required subjects. Many students get selected in post graduate competitive exams because of the worthy course curriculum and many of the students have successfully established themselves as faculty in all the premier institutions like IITs, IISERs , IISc. The exam structure is semester based. There are a total of 6 semesters in the undergrad curriculum. A student is required to successfully clear all the semesters, honours subjects, subsidiary subjects to achieve the honorary BSc degree.

Placement Experience

2

There is no such placement or job opportunities. The college doesnot provide any internship of its own right now but does encourage students to go for internships around the country. Many students go for internship at TIFR summer camps, IAS summer camps and other prestigious summer interships acroos the country

College Events

4

Festivals are celebrated with all soul and heart. There are 4 hostels and each hostel has a celebration day of its own. There are festivals like Durga Puja, Holi, Christmas which are also celebrated. Academic events like various quiz competition are hosted by various departments where students from various other college actively take part into namely Sci-Fi by Dept of Physics, Clioventure by Dept of History, Infinity by Dept of Maths and there are others.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes the fee structure is totally feasible and many economically weak students are given scholarships/ concession to study. A student is required to give Rs 2600 a month which includes food, lodging and tution fees. After the end of each semester student have to pay some development and registration fess which may amount upto Rs 8000 but the amount varies from subject 5o subject.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarships and concessions only to those students who are really from very poor backgrounds as the college fees is very minimal ie Rs 2600 per month which will include all of the food, lodging and tution fees. The college helps students to get scholarships from various sources like INSPIRE( I myself was an INSPIRE scholar) ,NSP scholarships, Merit cum means etc.

Campus Life

4.5

The college has well equipped AC gym facilities, swimming pools and 4 5 stadium grounds where inter and intra college competitions take place. Each hostel is has its own set of indoor games like carrom, table tennis, TV rooms. The whole campus is full of greenery. Annual football and cricket tournaments occur among various department in the college and also with other colleges too. Students are encouraged to play with all their soul.

Hostel Facilities

4

One has to opt for hostel since it is a residential college. 3-4 students are to be accomodated in a single room, the room is quite big enough and equipped with sufficient lighting and fans for the students comfort. There are study rooms in each hostel where students can go and study if they donot feel like studying their rooms. Geysers and Water coolers are also present. All over the hostels are descent.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very good and senior students are all throughout the world working successfully in their respective fields. College has been recently working up on the betterment of alumni connections after the recent NAAC grading dropped a little.

Admission

One is required to give an entrance exam and a merit list is prepared by cumulating the marks in the entrance exam and marks obtained in 12th and then selectes students are called foe interview and after a successful interview the student can get an admission by paying the required admission fees.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties of the department are well versed with all the topics they need to teach and truly focus on the basics that a student should develop throughout. Other the professionalism, the faculties also help students who are morally, mentally, financially unstable and behave totally like a family. The 3 years are next to heaven and its totally due to the hostel friends and faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.
