University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I found the economics curriculum pretty interesting which led me to choose this course as it will help me gain knowledge and prepare me on how the economy of my country and the entire world changes at any point and how its Improving or degrading depending on the situation. The timings of exams is okay and its manageable.

I think I was attracted to this subject because of practical experiences. I have always wanted to see the things which we cannot observe with naked eyes. And also this subject opens the door to many new opportunities. The timing of exams are very bad. We are supposed to get 6 months for each semester but we barely get 4 months. Also the syllabus is huge to cover in such a short span of time. But if you want you can I guess. But if you get 6 months we can understand better.

The college has a separate placement cell but the placements offered to students in our course are not at all related with our course. We were offered sales job in banks, and similar ones. But for the BCom students, college does provide jobs in MNCs. But if i talk about our course, the placements department wa squite a let down.

I chose this course and university because their curriculum is tough but worth studying. Students will understand a clear concept. This will perfectly set their foundation. Yes, theoretical knowledge is more. They should focus on practical exposure as well. Instead of written assignments, projects should be given. Some of the professors' teaching methods can be improved. 2 semesters happens every year, along with 2 short exams (Some changes in NEP, check). Short exams are easy, but the main ones are tough to crack if you're not well prepared.

It provides job opportunities for various fields such as forest service, zoo services, marine biologist and forensic. The curriculum provides hand on internship and opportunity for research in the 7th semester. More time management is required during the course to ensure proper completion of syllabus. The frequency of exam is 2 the gap between them are 4-5 months.

Mathematics is an inseparable part of science. It is the basic way to express scientific equations or theory.That's why I chose this course. Exams are semester wise ( two finals in one year ) Difficulty level - moderate to very difficult

The laboratory and practical way of teaching along with the faculty members. The professors have been giving details of every account of the respective field . However, few professor need to take proper class and complete the huge syllabus at time. The examination routine are needed to be provided at a proper time

The course curriculum at Maulana Azad College is generally well-structured, emphasizing both relevance and comprehensiveness. Specific aspects that influenced my decision to choose this course include the inclusion of contemporary topics, practical applications, and a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and skill development.

After 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements...tcs , wipro , infosys , google many good companies had came and made huge offers...avg package was 30 lpa and highest will go upto 2 cr...90 percents of student get placement every year by their performance...my plans after getting the degree was to pursue masters first.

The course subject that I am studying that is computer science is based on a theory paper so it is important to study more lots of theory unit and deals with a little bit with a practical work is done so,but the recent courses that has been introduced by the system which which is quite a practical based and I think the next match wi
