Is Asutosh college good for statistics honours?

I have a few friends from the Statistics department. Based on the things I heard from them, I will say the department is quite great. Professors are well-qualified, strict and they never miss any scheduled class. Attendance is taken seriously in the department. You won’t be able to slack off. You also have to study seriously for the tests. Because if you fail in sectionals, you won’t be able to sit for finals.

The coursework is absolutely brilliant and no doubt one of the toughest. But again students will learn a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The overall fees is something around 35-40k You need to pay it in three times; once in every year. This being a government college, the fees is not to high, but you can also apply for Scholarships. There are multiple scholarships, and based on your merit you can get a good waiver. This is the fees for statistics course. It also differs with the general subject you choose between economics and computer science. As I've been graduated, I can say this fees is very much worth paying.

Extremely difficult question paper set by university, sometimes even out of syllabus questions, resulting in year loss for final year students, very strict checking no provision for grace marks resulting in depression among students

I dislike my course why I am taking this course, if I change this course I will change now as soon as possible.

No extra fees cannot cut for this course.the total course is my semester is 10000 including my tution fees,no other extra charges for any other services. The name of the scholarship is Swami Vivekananda Scholarship that is very helpful for the student, a big amount from the government for us. No job employment have to be taken by me but next year i apply for this job.

In our course in which we have got statistics & computer science .... For labs & practicals it's about 12k but for eco & stat it's a bit lower around 8k , the scholarships are available for college students & obviously depends on the merit & scores of the student . Like vivekananda scholarship which helps the students with 18k rs. & Jindal a total of 3k rs. For a single semester.
