Presidency University Kolkata BA {Hons.} Bengali: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The Bengali department at Presidency University boasts nine faculty members, led by Head of Department Sandip Kumar Mandal, who are engaged in research and publication. The department offers two Bachelor’s programs, a Master’s program, and a PhD, all following a semester system with exams totaling 50 marks. As a government-funded institution, the university has affordable fees, with the Bengali discipline costing 1100 INR per semester, lower than many Kolkata colleges.

However, the placement cell is inactive, limiting placement opportunities to mainly the Statistics and Economics departments, with 10-15% of students securing jobs.
