My life in Presidency

Likes

The faculty members are amazing, the quality of education is top notch, quite competitive and engaging. It was more of holistic course than paying for a discipline.
The style of teaching, methods and approaches, everything can only be summed up with 'Excellent'.

Dislikes

The street noise used to bother alot but it is fine once accustomed with it.
The benches were pretty old, some dated back to time of Subhaschandra Bose.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Monthly was ?100 for tuition and for hostel ?1450, unless you take extra meal it would increase accordly. Fees were paid yearly and examination fee was around ?1200 every semester. Registration and admission was done with ?4500 and ?5000.

All about my Dream college.

Likes

Study environment is pretty friendly and peaceful
Students have many benifits to excel their hidden talents besides studying

Dislikes

Maintenance is bit less here and they take bit time to renovate
Library books are sometimes not available

Fees and Financial Aid:

Cost is about 1250 rupees every semester. During admission they took 4000 ( tution fees is 900 , registration fees is 500 , lab fees is 1000 ) other fees like caution or development I am quite unsure about . My batchmates share the same fees . Many scholarships are available for us students here like Swami vivekananda cum merit scholarship, kanyashree , INSPIRE etc . Environment here is quite good with the all the teaching staff properly affiliated to teach and proper lab facilities for the science students. Our college not only excels in study but also excels in every other field like singing , dancing , poetry , debate , drama , sports , politics etc . Getting admission in this college was the best decision i ever made . It is also a A+ college according NAAC

Being a Presidentian

Likes

The faculty members of Economics are very friendly
The college has a large library with a white range of books

Dislikes

The syllabus os too much lengthy and not student friendly.
The prices of the foods in canteen is very high . The prices should be decreased very soon

Fees and Financial Aid:

In Presidency University BSc program like BSc economics we have to pay 5400 per year. There is a registration fee around 500 rupees. The sports fees are 230 and the laboratory fees are 1000 rupees but there is no any transaction charges. Tuition fees from July to December is 900. There is no in students aid fund. The Identity Card fee is 70 rupees.

Insights and Experiences: A Comprehensive Review of College Life

Likes

The campus is really nice. It's the oldest college in all across Asia and almost all the virtual people in all across India have studied here.
The environment. The environment here is nice and friendly

Dislikes

The syllabus is sometimes not student friendly. We have our JAM exam on February next year and the 5th semester syllabus is huge.
Our faculties are genuinely brilliant. But some of them are not so good at teaching. So this sometimes creates trouble regarding finishing the syllabus.

Fees and Financial Aid:

There's a rumour that the course fees might increase I'm not sure. But the fees is not that high. It's student friendly. The university provides inspire scholarship and sometimes internships are being provided. The department has a placement cell. So chances are there for placement after masters.

Fee structure for graduation in arts - 3200 And tuition fees per semester - 1100 No other charges would be taken from here Scholarships are also available like SVCMS for students who secured 60% every semester,and caste scholarship are also available here..

Being a Presidencian !

Likes

The faculty is extremely helpful and the teaching delivered is top notch, if one attends the classes regularly, the subject would seem extremely easy and interesting as well.
The campus is very beautiful, the ancient structures of the buildings, the majestic corridors and halls echo the history of "Calcutta".

Dislikes

There are placements in only 3 departments- Maths, Statistics, and Geology, other departments do not have any placement cells.
The library should have more books, and the number of books one can borrow at a time should be atleast 5, instead of the current bar of 2.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees is extremely low and affordable, for bsc stats, it's 2000 per semester(approx.). Even the hostel fees is quite low, while the hostel facilities are excellent. There are many scholarships available, based on 10+2 result, semester result, family income, caste reservations etc.

Going to your dream college

Likes

The staff members are excellent the professors a very charming and the knowledge the provide are very unwitching and interesting to learn
Environment is quite positive and you will get good wives in the campus because of the history has and also because of the good positive energy of all students in campus

Dislikes

The semester exams aadat modular difficulty level and I hope if would be great if we could get a little more gap before each semester exam

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure is very simple and the fees taken for the courses are very minimal refer it is very affordable and cheap, unlike the private colleges. I personally would suggest taking admission to government colleges since not only there are good colleges but they are also affordable for people who have money issues. There are swami Vivekananda merit cum scholarships available.

Inclusivity, nice environment, great professors

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee structure is affordable besides the university also provides reservation benefits and hostel facilities for the needy students. The university also provides university scholarships and also other government schemes like Vivekananda scholarships and Aikyashree scholarships.

The fees in our University are not so much as it's a government institute and you have to get admission by clearing the pubdet exam with a good rank in the particular paper to get admission. Mainly the semester fees is around 3000/- only
