Remarks

It was once an abode of educational excellenc, but as it became an universit, it started deteriorating and the final nail in the coffin was hammered by our current vice chancellor, by implementing a draconian set of rules.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The curriculum is nice, the syllabus is also nice. Our syllabus is so scientific and technical, compared to other colleges in Kolkata. We have semester system in our university where we have to go through internals/term papers/CIA(Continuous Internal Assessment) which is usually of 15 marks/paper and end sem examinatio, which is usually of 35 marks/paper.

Placement Experience

2.5

We have a placement cell in our university and yes, they do offer good placements every year for the passouts. Several companies/media houses come to our university and take exams/interviews and choose the deserving ones. And no, our university doesn't provide internship.

College Events

2.5

There are several events which are celebrated in our university. The biggest of them all is Milieu, our annual fest, organised by the university union. There are fresher’s welcome events organised by political organisations and forum, then there are departmental fests, departmental freshers program, gender week and a lot more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's completely affordable. Being a government funded institution, the fee structure is so less compared to other colleges in Kolkata. As an example, the fee structure in my discipline is 1100/semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don’t quite know about the scholarships. I myself have never applied for it. But if I recall correctly, there is a scholarship for single girl child, there is one for those who hail from a family where the annual income is not more than 2 lacs/annum etc.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are good, except for the chemistry labs. My friends from Chemistry department told me that the infrastructure of their lab is not up to the mark. They don't even have the necessary things such as Nestler's reagent. Other labs are just fine, very fine. And for extra curriculum activies, we have lots of societies such as debate society, quiz society, literary society and a lot more. We have lots of sports events happening in our university such as cricket league, Table Tennis league, football league etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, they are helpful. Though the seniors are only helpful if you affiliate yourself to their respective political organisation/forum, else they will even refuse to have ever known you. So, to be honest, the seniors consider you as potential vote and not a human being.

Faculty

2.5

They are NOT at all up to the mark. In fact, I'd rather say that we’ve got faculties who can't teach at all. Yes, there are 2-3 professors who are good in their own field, but most of them can't even give a proper lecture.

Course Curriculum Overview:

h The course curriculum was on the key factory the influenced by decision to join this program it of her strong foundation core subject will also including activity emerging are which elegant with my career interest to curriculum was mandatory compassion balancing theory with practice through labs and mini projects however its relevance to Delaware adapts and could be improved so subject hold outs dated on leak industry integration technique methods were mostly lecture based and belief in protein more quasi and oxygen projectivity is learning outcomes Around 10 to 15 percent of students typically struggle to clear an odd two subjects especially in the second year The making scheme followed in 50s to 50 split between internal and external assignments which helps balance performance over all the curriculum leads Solid Academy foundation but need modernization to better prefer students for enabling industry demand and higher study

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to explore the CS stream from the beginning so I joined this program. The faculty: student ratio in BA is good and is around 1:7. All the teachers are well equipped and have complete knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. The exams were difficult as compared to the SPPU endsem exams, but that is expected from a college of such repute.
