Additionally, the institution recognizes the importance of supporting students financially and offers various avenues for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus employment opportunities.
Faculties are highly experienced with great knowledge and some of them have good teaching and mentorship style.
The classes are also very nice, the library is beautiful, well organized and peaceful.

Dislikes

We get information about scholarships, they are not interested in giving scholarships to poor students like us.
I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good
There is one almirah and one table and one bed provided in the hostel but the mess is really not good which was a problem in every college.

ACADEMIC FACILITIES ARE BEST,YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A WELL MAINTAINED LIBRARY AND CAN COMMUNICATE WITH PROFFESORS.
SPORTS FACILITIES ARE EXCEPTIONALLY WELL YOU HAVE STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTRE AND INTER NIT CONMPETITONS.
RESEARCH OPPURTUNITIES ARE VERY GOOD HERE

IN TIME FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS KEEPS US QUITE BOUNDED.
HOSTEL SPORTS FACILITIES ARE NOT MAINTAINED WELL.
THER ARE SOME RESTRICTED PLACES WHERE WE CANNOT VISIT IN CAMPUS

Placement Experience:

PLACEMENTS IN THE COLLEGE ARE GOOD AND IN FINAL YEAR MOST OF THE STUDENTS GET PLACED IN GOOD COMPANIES AND GOOD PACKAGES.A LOT OF COMPANIES VISITES CAMOUS INCLUDING APPLE , MICROSOFT , ACCENTURE , TCS,GOLDMANN SACHS AND MANY MORE.HIGHEST PACKAGE BY APPLE 80 LPA

Here is a detailed review shared by my brother who completed his graduation from NIT Durgapur

Infrastructure: Honestly, the infrastructure isn’t all that great but will provide all the basic amenities necessary for a good academic environment.
Faculty: Most students have to resort to self-study because the professors are not very passionate about teaching. However, if you do good projects under a professor, you may be able to pursue a master's in a foreign university.
Placements: NIT Durgapur has recorded excellent placements. This year the highest CTC offered was INR 70 LPA while the average salary offered was INR 13.64 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS Ninja, PwC, ICICI Bank, Microsoft, and many others. More than 100 recruiters participated in the placement drive and 633 students were placed.
Opportunities: The NIT tag will open a number of opportunities for you and the alumni network is also quite extensive. You can also avail opportunities like workshops and clubs.
Campus life: The campus life is very active with many fun-filled events like the freshers' farewell party and celebration of regional festivals. Additionally, a number of cultural and technical fests are also held.
Administration : The administration is very slow and is not cooperative. You might face some issues.
Location : NIT Durgapur faces no major connectivity issues. The railway station is 30 mins or 14 km away while the nearest airport is at Andal, which isn't well connected, so Kolkata Airport will be a better option. You can find the Auto rickshaw stand just at the main gate.

Overall, NIT Durgapur is a great place if you are unable to make it to IITs.
