- The infrastructure is very good. The environment is very clean and hygienic.
- The university is very strict against ragging .
- The faculty has great knowledge about every concept.
Dislikes
- The management is very poor, and not good.
- Some of the subjects are not relevant in the curriculum.
- There is a lot of delay in providing important information such as datesheet of exams.
Placement Experience:
The placements are not bad but not too good. The average package fluctuates every year between 6 and 7 Lakh per annum. The highest package is 50L that a student got from Microsoft.
Students mostly go for higher education.

- Sports facilities were too good and well maintained. Indoor badminton courts, 2 basketball courts and much more.
Placement Experience:
The placements are really good, every course has got many many good companies recruiting students. Hyundai, tata, Samsung and such big titles are there for the internships. Overall the placements are 90% good and suitable.

- The universities vast infrastructure and exposure in different fields really helps the students to develop their understanding towards their career and traverse in the right path.
- The famous specialisation based learning in various areas of the market such as Artificial Intelligence, Development, Gaming, DevOps etc. help students gain knowledge more deeply in the fields they are interested in.
- the faculty is supportive and does give project opportunities to students in the batch to work with them and help them build a strong CV for their professional life.
Dislikes
- one of the things to be considered in this aspenct is the size of the cohort is very huge. the college accepts a lot of applications every year especially for the course of Computer science Engineering which results in more competition among the
- students, which can be unhealthy mentally for the student sometimes.
Placement Experience:
The university does offer on camous internships and placements to the stuents. various big tech companies are seen in the campus in the placement season. the highest package can go as high as 50lpa whereas the average package lies around 10lpa for my course

- Geographical location of the college is great being situated in the hilly areas of dehradun
- College focuses on the welfare and overall development of the student
- Diversity of students which take admission in this college allows a student to develop his social and interaction skills.
Dislikes
- Size of the campus is small as compared to student intake
- Infrastructure should be improved, including the buildings, food court, sports area and furniture of the classrooms
- The faculty is not very interested in the academic development of the students
Placement Experience:
Placements are okaish of this college, they state that they have 100% placements but only of those students who are eligible to sit in placement session, after 6th semester students start getting internships and placement or grab job offers in companies, detailed information about number of companies visited and no of offers made can be found on college website, highest package of CS dept was around 33lakh and lowest was 3-5 lakh(avg), my current plan is developing a good skill and then getting a good job

- i like the cultural fests at UPES which provide good experience
- I like the teacher and senior support to freshers

- Some faculties are seriously very useless.
- Their online portal is always in not working condition.
Placement Experience:
Placements of my college was good. As average package of my college was around 10 lpa but as recession hit so it has reduced to 7.5 lpa, but still companies are coming to college to provide placements and internships.

- The curriculum designed for CSE is apt an in sync with the industry demands, we dont have to study chemistry like other colleges and physics that we have in 1st sem only has topic relevant with CSE
- Faculties here are very nice and qualified, they know a lot about the subject they teach. Many of them also have industry experience
Dislikes
- Co-curricular aspect of the university could have been better, currently there is nothing much to do, fests and events do happen bug there is lack of participation from students
- The campus is overcrowded especially with CSE students, they do t have adequate infrastructure to accomoadate these many students also I feel the university will reach its saturation point very soon of they continue to take admissions at this pace
Placement Experience:
Placements here are okayish most of the students do get placed but only a few bag good ctc's. Students are required to do a compulsory internship in 3rd year after which they might get pre placements offer or may sit for placements starting from 4th year, companies like TCS, Panasonic, deloitte, etc visit the campus offering software developer roles

- They have very high fees of Btech around 20 lakhs

Students starts getting placed after the 3rd year , many companies have visited the campus like wipro microsoft and many more companies have also visited for placements highest package for upes is around 52 lakhs per annum and as per the college percent of students placed is 100%

- The campus firstly provide tobacco free, smoking free and alcohol free environment which provides a neat and clean environment.
- There are ac rooms in health and science block and overall the whole university has been constructed in a well symmetric manner.
- The faculty present in upes are highly skilled and some of the faculty gives special guidence and time to the students.
Dislikes
- During the time of entry in the campus we all have to take long route for the classes as the security officials do not allow the students to move infront of the reception from 9-11 AM.
- If a faculty is not present then maximum times the information is given whem the student reaches to the university campus which leads to wastage of time.
Placement Experience:
After 5th semester the students become eligible for campus placements.
Companies like micrsoft ,prodegy, amazon ,google and other 127 companies visits the campus yearly .
The highest package last year was 55 lpa givn by microsoft.
And the average pacage is 8 lpa.
60% students gets campus placements.
I will also go for in campus placements after degree.

- Upes is well regarded university with strong focus on energy, petroleum and engineering fileds especially Computer science
- Located in Dehradun within this beautiful environment . the university offers a suburban campus environment
- Campus life is also good. There are alot of places to visit and a good weather/environment.
Dislikes
- In campus hostel the quality of food is worst. although you can have hostel/pgs outside the campus that are way better.
- Teachers are not that experienced althought they have knowledge.
- Being a private university UPES have high fees
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is well structured and made with the help of leading tech companies like IBM and Zebia. It has seperate subjects for soft skills and real world problems / applications. As for improvements, they can take ideas from their placement records and current market trend to shape their curriculum and offers accordingly. There are 2 exams every semester of varying weightages and I think that is good enough.

- Surroundings of college is great as it is situated in the hills
- The teachers are also very hard working.
- The labs are well designed and have proper equipments
Dislikes
- The course could have been properly structured
- Better hostel facilities could have been provided
- Classes timings can be better organized to save time
Placement Experience:
From 4th year people are eligible for campus placements
There were several companies vising the campus including TCS, Cognizent, wipro, google among others
The higest package was offered of 55 lakhs per annum and average package being 8 lakhs
Untill last year 100% placements were done, but this year its been slightly bad.
I will persue a masters degree
