If you are going for a ba course you have two options for choosing faculty art faculty ( mostly foreign language/Indian language courses are available) social science faculty ( Here you got too many options like history, geography, politics etc.) Student mostly chooses social science faculty because there are so many subjects. My faculty is a social science and my Hons is mathematics I choose this because I will decide to take mathematics optional in UPSC. The faculty are very qualified and give attention to each and every student. RATIO b/w Faculty and students (1:60) passing the exam is not too difficult if you are taking regular classes then you will easily score 80 per cent. If the class starts in July Then mid-term exams are scheduled in mid-Sep and exams will schedule in Dec.

Students become eligible for placements from their final year which is the end semester but for BHU not many students get placed. many companies visit here like Amazon, Aditya Birla Group, IDBI, relax, Sarvasidhi Agrotech Pvt limited SAPL, Automatic Data Processing, Vardhman Textiles Limited, Tiger Analytics, VARUN beverages limited, AIM India Group, LEARNINGSHALA, AFCONS infrastructure limited etc. Around 5 to 10 students get placed at a time. The packages offered range from 5 LPA to 10 LPA which is a good amount. But not many students get a place the percentage is very low at only about 10 per cent. I aim to go for a master's in economics after completing my BA in economics

Bhu's placement is so good. Here are so many courses that give you the best placements even in humanities like political science economics etc. the last week the Hindi literature average placement was ten lacks per annum.

I chose this course of BA Arts Eng Hons because I always had an interest in English The faculty is very helpful during and form fill up and the process is also very easy There are six semesters overall and every 6 months you have to give your semesters

Some of the faculty extraordinarily master in their respective subject and some were average in their abilities,so overall faculty is good. Their method of teaching was same as other university teachers but their content was worthy for your academics. The only problem that I see is their intensity of voice is very low last three benches can't hear what they say Exams are held on semester basis and passing them is much easy if you just attend classes.

As I want to pursue LLB for my further studies so BA (social science) would help in my further studies. Various combinations of subjects are offered to students. An honour subject, subsidiary subject and ancillary subject are given to students. Terms at taken to timely.

As I want to pursue llb for my further studies, BA Social Science would definitely help me out. My combination is Political Science (h). PSYCHOLOGY. Sociology as my subsidiary subject, History as my ancillary subject and Hindi as my language. The faculty is very good and helpful, people and teachers are very cooperative. Everyone is ready to help each other. The faculty is amazing, and everyone is very cool about everything. Teachers are highly qualified in their field, graduates of various big universities. Terms are taken timely.

The foreign language department of BHU is great. It offers courses in French, German, Chinese, Italian, Russian and several other languages. All the foreign language departments are under the supervision of Faculty of Arts. Every dept. has its own faculty members of professors, scholars and clerks. Now coming to placements, Amazon and several other companies give the opportunity to students provided you are skilled and talented enough so to they could hire you.

IN FSS there is no placement at UG level but there is very good placement in PG courses in subjects like Statistics and Economics package around 8 to 15 lakh. In the state department in MA / MSC course, around 40% of students get placed as data analysts and market researchers.

Students looking for Corporate jobs can avail themselves of them even after Graduating from unlikely courses like BA. If you have graduated with honours in foreign languages, opportunities are very lucrative. Amazon conducts annual campusing for students every year with a package exceeding 6 lakhs pa sometimes.
