one needs to write an entrance exam and selection is done on the basis of marks acquired in the entrance exam. 2) one should have passed 10+2 from any college. Application form - can be availed from the University website I.e bhuonline. In Improvement in the admission process - The whole process of entrance and admission took a very long time. May be due to the lockdown due to covid. The entrance exam was done in the month of September 2020 and the result of the entrance was declared in January 2021 the classes started in March 2021 which is a very long time but this was not a normal situation. But one good thing was that during the covid pandemic and lockdown situation online admission started in BHU for the first time. But the time duration needs to be cut.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am gained interest in economics since my class 12 level. And at the present scenario of the growing economy and jobs in the corporate sector and zeal for entrepreneurship I opted for this course Professors are highly qualified, and all have done their phd. And their explanation method is best I must say. It feels like we are sitting in a coaching institute. Professors are very friendly and one can approach them for clarification of any doubts. Exams are not that difficult to pass. But to score good marks one needs to go through the previous year's questions paper. The difficulty level of the paper ranges from easy to difficult so one needs to know the concepts and prepare the notes to score a good cgpa
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from their final year which is the end semester but for BHU not many students get placed. many companies visit here like Amazon, Aditya Birla Group, IDBI, relax, Sarvasidhi Agrotech Pvt limited SAPL, Automatic Data Processing, Vardhman Textiles Limited, Tiger Analytics, VARUN beverages limited, AIM India Group, LEARNINGSHALA, AFCONS infrastructure limited etc. Around 5 to 10 students get placed at a time. The packages offered range from 5 LPA to 10 LPA which is a good amount. But not many students get a place the percentage is very low at only about 10 per cent. I aim to go for a master's in economics after completing my BA in economics
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very minimal. On Fr main campus of BHU is only rs 2500 per year but for affiliated colleges, it varies from Rs. 7000 - Rs 9000 per year. They don't hike the fee normally. Talking about the cost to study combining both the fooding and lodging at the hostel it costs Rs 2fFor ex500 for lodging per year and the fooding depends on the type of food availed by you. For example, if you go for normal food which includes Rice, chappati, curry and dessert it costs around Rs 3000 but if you desire for special mess then the cost rises even up to Rs 5000. But overall if you can afford Rs. 6000 per month then you can survive there. The scholarship is provided rarely.
Campus Life
One of the most fascinating things about BHU is that the student groups are very active. There are many clubs run by students for example eco society of BHU and many social groups are also there where one can participate actively for the enhancement of their skills and for the betterment of the society
Other Applied Colleges
Cotton University | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Economics)
Cotton university indeed a good university but Banaras Hindu University provides more opportunities to students to explore in studies, other co curriculum activities with placement opportunity which cotton university fails to provide to students
