Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because the curriculum is relevant and covers both theory and basic practical knowledge. It helps in building a foundation for real-world applications, though more industry exposure would be better. Improvements needed include more practical training and updated tools. Exams are held each semester with mid-term and final exams, and the difficulty level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities in our college are good in the fields of journalism, advertising, and PR. Students get chances in media houses, PR agencies, and digital marketing companies. Roles include content writing, social media handling, reporting, and PR work. Some internships offer a stipend, while others focus on experience. Students also work on projects like news writing, ad campaigns, and social media management, which help in gaining practical industry skills.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in our College are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th/6th semester, and companies from media, PR, and digital marketing fields visit for recruitment. The placement cell also provides training, internships, and guidance. After graduation, I plan to explore both campus and off-campus opportunities in media and communication fields.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for my course is **₹85,000**, making the total course fee around **₹3.4 lakh**. Apart from tuition fees, students pay admission, registration, examination, development, and refundable caution fees. The fee structure remains almost the same, with only minor changes if applicable. Students from SC/ST and other reserved categories can avail government fee concessions and scholarships. Merit-cum-Need and state government scholarships are also available for eligible students based on academic performance and family income.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is simple but good. The campus is small, but it has useful facilities like a sports room with equipment for different games and a medical room for basic healthcare needs. Classrooms are equipped with basic technology for learning. The college also supports extracurricular activities and sports, helping students stay active. Overall, it provides a comfortable environment for both studies and co-curricular growth.

Admission

I chose this college because of its affordable fees, good academics, and convenient location compared to other options. It offered a balanced course structure with both theory and practical learning. I also applied to a few other colleges, but either the fees were higher or I didn’t meet their cutoff requirements. This college had a smoother admission process and better overall value. Admission is based on eligibility and merit, with some seats through counseling and management quota. The process was simple and well-organized.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:25–1:30. Most faculty members are approachable and supportive in clearing doubts. The course includes theory, practicals, assignments, and projects. Exams are conducted each semester with mid-term, internal, and end-term tests. The difficulty level is moderate. The curriculum is mostly relevant, but more practical exposure would be helpful. A few students may require re-exams in some subjects depending on performance.

Interview Experience

4

Yes, the admission process included a group discussion round along with merit-based selection. The GD mainly focused on general topics like current affairs and basic communication skills to assess confidence and clarity of thought. There was no written test or formal interview. The overall process included form filling, document verification, merit consideration, and GD round. I prepared by revising current affairs and practicing communication skills. Overall, the admission process was smooth.

Night Life

4

Our college has a calm nightlife as it is mainly a day campus. Facilities like the library, cafeteria, gym, and sports room usually close in the evening. The college also has a hostel, and students spend their free time in the hostel, nearby cafés, or casual hangout spots after classes. The surrounding area is generally safe, and students mostly go out in groups. Overall, social life is simple but balanced with studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.
