Chose this course because i was interested in tech since i was in class 9 when i learnt c and c++, faculty is not that great and most are tamil speaking , you'll have a lot of problem to adjust with the accent but can be done.

I chose mechatronics as it consists of electrical mechanical and computer science, so it a multidisciplinary course which opens gate to more opportunities. All faculties are phd but some teacher's teaching method mid as they are not good communicators In srm exams are occured very frequently like every nect week and it is easy to pass in the exams but sometimes hard to score good grades

I choose computer science because I love technology and like to work and get to know software. I my university the faculty are very nice and helpful and the student-to-faculty ratio is 1:15 a lots of faculty have done there phd. The timely exam was in 5 months and it was not that hard to pass

In 7th semester students will be eligible for placements, big MNCs like Tata, Google, Amazon will visit our college for placements and every year nearly 2000+ placements offers were made.. The highest package in my college was 1.2cr and nearly 90% will get placed. I will go with the placement offers

I chose this course as I have interest in computer applications and to study about softwares .The professors are so friendly and they have good connection with students,they helps to improve the knowledge.We have 3 internal exams and 2 semesters and It is not that much difficult to pass an exam

Placement in SRM Chennai was quite fine being from hotel management background I saw many five star hotels coming for campus interview for selecting students and it was in the third year we got placement in the college. The five star hotel which visited our campus were : Hyatt Regency Chennai, J W Marriot, Taj Group of hotels, Starwoods, The Park and The Oberois these were some of the finest hotel which came for recruitment and the hiring was done based on department wise interview that is to say if the student has chosen kitchen as his career then he had to give food trial which included 3 course menu and he or she was selected based on food trial and interview given before. Each department had its own offer to make that is to say that selection was done for hotel operations trainee and management level trainee and these 2 posts were common in the four main departments of the hotel and the average salary offered was 3 to 4 lakhs per annum and it all depend on interview given

Placements are offered to almost all eligible students. However, the packages being offered have a high disparity, most of the companies coming are offering an average of 6-8LPA, with very select companies offering 20LPA+. Students are eligible for internship from 5th semester and placements from 7th semester. The highest package offered was 52LPA by DE Shaw.
