Can anyone tell about the Engineering Design branch at IIT-Madras?

The engineering design department at IIT Madras is the newest department on campus. A honest Review about my college, Academics, opportunities, campus life

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fees Structure Our college fees is nearly ver low for students from backward classes such as SC and ST. Also there are many students who doesn't have any fees. My fees over an year is nearly 3 lakhs and since it's an integrated course of five year I have total fees of nearly twelve to thirteen lakhs. I don't have any scholarships because my parents having government jobs. My batchmates have many scholarship like some of the students parents are working in military or are ex militarians so they have scholarship according to it.

IITM : campuss life

The complete cost of the education for 1 year would be around 3 lakhs and for 5 years our education and hostel fees included would be around 15 lakhs. The institute provides some scholarships but applying for outside scholarships is preferable. Campus placement is good and provides a wide variety of options.

Engineering design department review in IIT madras

As my family income is below 1 lakh, I have to pay less course fee. so including hostel fee, for 5 years, the complete cost of my education would be around 5 lakhs. many scholarships are available, I get FFE scholarshp, in institute, students can apply for NSP scholarship. per semseter, my hosel fee is around 32 thousand and course fee aound 12 thousand.

The fee structure for the students are according to their resevation priorities. if the student belongs to the reservation categeory they will get the merit based scholarships need based financial aid, and oppurtunity for campus employment through teaching assistantships, research assistantships and other part time positions. these opportunities are usually competitive.

IIT Madras- the real place to be and live and enjoy

The fess seems very reasonable to but it could be a bit less as compared to NITS as it's less than a lac for NITS . Fees structure :- Tution fees (per semester)1,18,000 + hostel (30k around per semester) + other charges (expenditure) The scholarship is also being provided to lower category students + economical weaker+ on the basis of the educational performance at the campus. The average package stood at 17lpa+ for every branch also the alumni network is one of the best among various IITs we also get intership opportunity during the summer or winter break time by the campus.

LIFE AT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS.

Well, there are plenty of ways to get scholarships in this college and this college's Alumni are the people to provide Financial support. Well, I did not apply for any scholarship as I have an EWS reservation, so I got myself an amount of 100000 deducted from my fees.

My Best and Bad Experiences of My College

The cost to study is around 3 lakh per year combined everything if your family income is greater the 5 lakh and the fee hike is no such guarantee they increase mostly every 5 years There are many scholarships available the most important one is a fee waiver for less than 1 lakh family income and 1-5 lakh family income There is a financial assistance loan near campus there is SBI bank and jobs are really good most of the students get placed in different companies
