- Excellent placements: bits pilani has a strong industry network and consistently records high placement percentages, with many students securing job offers before graduation.
- The faculty at bits are superb and also pretty chill at the same time.
- Merit cum need scholarship is given to the best students who are poor but good in studies.
Dislikes
- Grading is difficult , papers are also difficult
- It has very bad bathing water, causes skin and hair issues
- I hate the fact that there are lot of stray animals even in our hostels

- the college campus is vast and inculcates a good campus culture. the peer group at bits pilani is great and motivating , the startuo culture in bits is extrmely nurtured
- they offer good additional courses such as humanities and finance electives that have good course structures and offer knowledge over arious domains
- the infrastructure of the classrooms especially the new acadmeic building are upto date and modern as well as fully conditioned
Dislikes
- the department especially the pharmacy department is extremely rigid and does not fully represent the academic freedom that bits advertisee
- the coursework is at most times not relevant to the degree (pharmacy) we are made to do courses that have no valuable significance in our degree or our careers
- the lab conditions are not upto mark we are placed in old labs with expired chemicals and basic amenities such as weighing scales or spatulas are not provided
Placement Experience:
the ca,pus placements are above average for the engineering courses in comparision to other private colleges but pharmacy placements are below par tey do not call a lot of core pharmacy companies for placmeents and most people in this degree either opt for non core placements or go for higher studies any core placments have very low packages(4 lpa) and are not much to begin with . i intend to go for higher studies(MBA) either in india or abroad

- Exposure along with International exposure via hackathons, courses and exchange programs.
- Cultural and club activities. Exposure through vast amount of clubs present on campus varying from technical to non technical backgrounds.
- No attendance policy and flexibility of courses one can take up.
Dislikes
- The amount of opportunities provided for pharmacy students including placements and other opportunities.
- Stiff and close minded faculty in some departments.
- Location of the campus (Pilani). Extreme heat and extreme cold, hostels rooms are not equipped with ACs.
Placement Experience:
The placements in my college are excellent for tech and other domains, however, in terms of my own degree, ie B.Pharmacy, significant direct placement opportunities in core pharmacy are not available. The college is lacking in this respect, even in terms of summer training and opportunities, Pharmacy students do not get much opportunity. This is prevelant even for pharm tech or other related fields. They have to look for other domains for placements (finance, data science, consulting etc).
Students can also get a ppo from ps2 opportunities. Approx 70-80% people are placed, in terms of pharma, only 30-40% people are placed.

- The most appealing thing about Bits is its admission process in which their is no reservation unlike other colleges, Bits recruits students on the basis of their merit.
- The curriculum provided by Bits holds great strength compared to other colleges.
- People here in Bits come from all over the country and interacting with such diverse population, making friends with them enhances your personality traits.
Dislikes
- Bits has a very high fee structure for a common man to afford.
Placement Experience:
Placements here at Bits Pilani are exceptionally good but also depend on the students and the hard work done throughout their college life. Although talking of my branch, placements of core pharmacy don't seem to hold so good records but students from pharmacy shifting to non-core path get very good placement opportunities. A very high percentage of students get placed here others that do not opt for placements and go for higher studies. I would sit for the placement rounds but I aim to for higher studies.

So in Birla institute of technology if you are a single degree student than you are given a choice whether you want placement in 7th semester or in 8th semester and if you are higher degree student than at 5th year

Placement Experience:
BITS offers 3 chances to get a job or a placement from the 4yr course itself. After 2nd year, an Internship season is carried out for the summer season after the 3rd year. Students get to work in top firms for 2 months and get an experience in the outer world. Most of the students manage to get a PPO. All the students are required to undergo a 6-month Practice School Program through which they can get a job offer as well. Our college has been hosting several companies and has been pretty successful in helping most of the students to get a job. The average CTC lies somewhere between 16 to 18 LPA.

Placement Experience:
Our college has an excellent placement record, although not as good for B.pharmacy. The student becomes eligible for placement in their final year. A lot of MNCs come. Companies like Microsoft hire around 40-50 students with the offer of 40lpa.
The lowest package goes around 6-7 LPA.
After getting the degree I plan to get a job and prepare for MBA.

Remarks:
Overall, I would say that for anyone living in India it is pretty much one of the best options available and the management although being very friendly and interactive has its cons but the effect it has on an average BITsian doesn't amount to much.

What is your review of BITS Pilani WILP?Does it consider to get lecturer job?

BITS WILP is a two-year postgraduate level course, in which 15 specializations are offered by the university. It is a degree course that is completed mainly on weekends to enable students and professionals to gain a full-time degree course while continuing their professional pursuits.
Pros
- You get associated with the BITS tag
- You can do your PG alongside working
- The course is rather easy and with the right dedication you can complete it in 2 yrs.
- The syllabus is the same for both on and off-campus students
Cons
- You won’t be able to sit for PG campus recruitment
- Not many companies consider this degree valuable and thus makes it is difficult to land a job.
- The admission criteria are rather flexible thus the peer pool is not very filtered.
- Most of the subjects are from bachelors and lack relevance and rigor
- There is no visible difference in the knowledge base of the students.
- The classes are not conducted by the original BITS faculty.
In all, I think the cons overshadow the pros and don’t deem this course a very wise decision.

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects
- Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
- Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
- Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
- Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
- Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.
Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
