AIIMS Jodhpur: Admission 2026, Fees, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

All AIIMS including AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Bhopal must maintain standard education and hospital facilities. According to NIRF 2023, AIIMS Jodhpur has secured 13th position, while AIIMS Patna and AIIMS Bhopal secured 27 and 38 positions respectively. 

The ranking of AIIMS according to NIRF score goes as follows 

AIIMS Delhi > AIIMS Jodhpur > AIIMS Bhubaneswar > > AIIMS Rishikesh > AIIMS Patna > AIIMS Bhopal >AIIMS Raipur 

• Infrastructure: AIIMS Jodhpur has a better infrastructure with a Wi-Fi-enabled campus better than AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Patna. 
• AIIMS Jodhpur also offers maximum seats for PG courses while AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Patna offer limited seats for PG courses. 
• Food: The canteen in AIIMS Jodhpur offers the best food than any other AIIMS
• Laboratory: All labs at AIIMS are well-equipped. However, the anatomy department of AIIMS Jodhpur has maximum cadavers compared to any other AIIMS. 
• Hostel: The hostels are well maintained and AIIMS Jodhpur also offers separate rooms for each student.

After considering all the parameters and facilities offered by all three AIIMS. AIIMS Jodhpur is considered to be the better institute after AIIMS Delhi. 

During NEET UG Counselling, a lot of candidates prefer AIIMS Bhopal over AIIMS Jodhpur for MBBS if not able to get a seat at AIIMS Delhi. Both AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Bhopal are equally good colleges and amongst the top-ranked ones in the country.

One major reason why students opt for AIIMS Bhopal over AIIMS Jodhpur is due to the location of AIIMS Bhopal and its larger connectivity than AIIMS Jodhpur. AIIMS Bhopal is located in Central India and the state it is located in, i.e. Madhya Pradesh. The hostels at AIIMS Bhopal are as good as AIIMS Jodhpur, however, has much more freedom. The city of Bhopal also gives one more reason for students to join AIIMS Bhopal. 

AIIMS Jodhpur is a bit far from the main city and the connectivity also is not as good as AIIMS Bhopal. There is also less freedom for students as the campus and the hostel wardens are extremely strict as well. 

Thus, the location and connectivity of AIIMS Bhopal is one big reason why rankers prefer AIIMS Bhopal over AIIMS Jodhpur.

AIIMS Jodhpur is very popular for its hostels and its hostels are one of the major features which set it apart from other government medical colleges in India. AIIMS Jodhpur has well-built and maintained hostels with all major modern facilities and amenities. 

• Hostel rooms at AIIMS Jodhpur are offered on a single or double-sharing basis.
• There are 250 rooms in the boy’s hostel and 125 rooms in the girls' hostel.
• The rooms are clean and well-maintained. 
• Each room has an almirah, a study table with drawers, a chair, a small low-height table, a bed with storage, a mattress, and pillows. 
• The rooms are spacious and well-painted with a balcony outside each room with a common area on each floor.
• AIIMS Jodhpur Hostels also have a common dining hall, a mess, and a recreational area.
• The hostels have restrictions as well and the wardens are extremely strict. 
• The institute doesn’t allow inductions and cooking in the hostel rooms. 
• The fees for hostels at AIIMS Jodhpur are very affordable which is around INR 990 for MBBS. 

AIIMS Bhopal hostels are also well-maintained and have good infrastructure. The hostel rooms at AIIMS Bhopal have good furniture, with around 3/4th of a wall fitted with wooden furniture. The rooms are equipped with all the amenities such as a bookshelf, table, chair, bed, mattress, drawer, and table. There are no attached washrooms but the common washrooms are also very clean and hygienic.

AIIMS Jodhpur and SMS Jaipur are two very prominent medical colleges in Rajasthan. SMS Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges in India, while AIIMS Jodhpur is a comparatively newer institute established in 2012. Keeping all the aspects such as rankings, infrastructure, faculty, hostels, and facilities into consideration, AIIMS Jodhpur is a better choice when compared to SMS Jaipur. 

• Ranking & Reputation: AIIMS Jodhpur is an Institute of National Importance and is centrally funded by the government. It is the second-best ranked AIIMS in India after AIIMS Delhi, ranked 13th in India as per NIRF 2023. SMS Jaipur is however ranked 46th in India by NIRF 2023 in Medicine. 
• Campus & Infrastructure: AIIMS Jodhpur has a huge campus with a well-built infrastructure with modern technology and devices. The institute offers all major facilities on campus such as hostels, sports complex, gym, central mess, etc. AIIMS Jodhpur has well-built and maintained hostels which is not the case in most medical colleges.
• Research Opportunities & Clinical Exposure: The institute is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for medical research with access to advanced medical equipment. AIIMS Jodhpur also offers one of the best clinical exposure to its students. 
• Campus Life & Events: AIIMS Jodhpur has a vibrant campus life with opportunities for a lot of extracurricular activities and events. AURA, the intercollege fest of AIIMS Jodhpur, is one of the biggest and most awaited medical fest in India every year.
• Fees: The fee for MBBS and PG courses at AIIMS Jodhpur is negligible. AIIMS Jodhpur MBBS fee is around INR 5,856 for the entire course which is literally much less in comparison to SMS Medical College which is around INR 50K per year. 
• Internship Stipend: The stipend that students get during the internship at AIIMS Jodhpur is far more than the state medical colleges like SMS Jaipur. 

SMS Jaipur is also a very good institute with a legacy attached to it, however, the institute has a comparatively old infrastructure and fewer facilities and exposure than AIIMS Jodhpur. The batch size at SMS Jaipur is also big, i.e. around 250 students in each batch. The fee is also very high in comparison to AIIMS Jodhpur. Thus, AIIMS Jodhpur is a comparatively better institute than SMS Jaipur keeping in consideration all the points.
