SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Likes

Small but fully equipped campus as our campus has probably everything that an engineering college should possess.
We have two high tech labs and there we have industry sponsored teaching.
Our faculties literally strikes terror with their teaching as they are outstanding.

Dislikes

In comparison to other campuses of Symbiosis ours is small and has just a few sports facilities.
We also don't have in campus hostels which most Symbiosis campus otherwise has.

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

The college infrastructure is top notch.
The amenities provided are really great.
The teaching curriculum and exam pattern is great as well.

Dislikes

The fees and affordability of the course.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th semester start appearing for placement sessions and for internships. Many number of companies come and the highest package offered was 44 Lakhs and average package is 6 LPA. The roles offered were of software engineer.

Likes

The college has an excellent infrastructure in which several other institutes are also included which gives us an opportunity to know more about each field through the students
The faculty is amazing. All are pHD holders in their respective fields and positions. And most important the way is teaching is excellent.
College provides various opportunities for the students skill enhancement. Various hackathons are conducted every weak.

Dislikes

There is too much burden of studies which makes it diifficult to cope up with.
Some teachers are not well experienced which should be improved.
The college is very new in town so they don’t have much placement records which makes it difficult for a newbie to choose this college

Placement Experience:

Actually the college is new to Nagpur. It was started in 2021. So the first placement season is going on in the college and the results are quite impressive. Many freshers managed to secure nice packages in various top tech companies across globe.

Placement Experience:

From semester 3 the students are eligible for internships and pre placement drive taking place on campus . Companies such a Microsoft, Deloitte, phone pe , Cummins, MiQ , etc visit the college for placement. Highest package stands of 50 lpa , avg package of 9 lpa with 6 students getting into microsoft in their 3yr only. 95% placement rate .

SIT Pune - An Overview.

Likes

Good male to female ratio in classrooms.
Good sports facilities provided, no visible cost cutting done there
Big campus, great , fun events and huge diversity in students

Dislikes

College management is sleeping most times, we don't come to know about what all facilities we have access to
We are not informed about any events happening, have to find out from student council
College is really far from city, need to have personal vehicle

Placement Experience:

College lies about placement, they say highest in my branch was 24 LPA in 2023, but it's actually OFF CAMPUS WHERE COLLEGE DOESN'T PLAY ANY ROLE. on campus highest was 11 LPA . Employability of my course is increasing , given the newly established semiconductor industry of India. Students get eligibility for placement from 6-7 semester, I am not sure. But internships start from 6th semester. My plans after degree is army, I'll give CDS and get commissioned as an officer in the army.

First of all i really like the campus, it is really what a student imagines his/her college would look like. They do very well maintaining the environment of the college
Faculties are very good with students (based on my experience). They are easy going and they communicate a lot so i think thats a plus point as they make the environment comfortable
Symbiosis throughout the year in kind of exciting, they organise lots of programs to keep students bodies as well as students engaged one way or the other

Dislikes

The thing i hate about the college is they dont really provide you with any sports equipments. They gave you the turf but not the ball.
They try to keep the place hygienic which is good but the amount of janitors in this college is insane
You are not free to go to hill top campus, only if you have permission you will be able to which is kinda weird. That’s a college campus like come on

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is set by the university and i would say it is very well planned and organised. They try to provide you with the latest knowledge and curriculum may change or differ for batch to batch.

Likes

I mostly like the environment in education, it is good.
Respecting every religion, every occasion is celebrated in unique way.
The premises of the college is good and hygienic.

Placement Experience:

Recently, I do not have any idea about the placements things, but the college an internship facility from 2nd year onwards, so that the students get the benefits of it and learn something new from it.

diversity as there are people from different states and different countries as well
The curriculum is top notch and meets the industry trends these days
placement for my branch ENTC is almost 100%

Dislikes

there are ac's in all the labs and seminar halls but not in classrooms
the college is situate on the outskirts of pune city so it will take you almost 20 minutes to enter the city
The gender ratio should be improved a little as boys are more in number than girls

Placement Experience:

SIT does offer on campus placement. Last year the placement was around 97% with the highest package being 50 LPA. Top recruiters were Microsoft, Mercedes-bens, philips, nvidia etc. After the completion of my btech degree, i am planning on pursuing my masters in bussiness administration

campus life and quality of interaction is excellent as student come from all over india
teaching staff is excellent in mentorship quality
placement services is good along with internship opputunities

Dislikes

quiet far from the city so it takes time for travelling convinience
no bachelor of science degrees in the college
does not provide hostel for more than 2years

from 7 semester student eligible for campus placement veritas,google,phonepay,aristok,promobi,bajaj highest package is 6000000Rs per annum and average package of 500000Rs 80 percent student get placed joining the army after completion of degree

Great campus has a good hostel nearby only
Scenic campus with a hospital nearby too
Great crowds of people from all backgrounds

Dislikes

Not enough hostels for boys after third year
Curfew timing are very early at 10:30 at night
If u own a car on events there is very limited parking

Placements in my college are good and u get great offers from various types of companies and various type of roles almost arnd 70-80 percent get placed every year. A good number of companies have also visited and the college has good tie ups
