I have a lot of colleges as COEP, PSIT and even IIIT Pune from where I had confirm admission from. I took a lot of thinking as I even cleared SAT and fom my CET score too, I was qualified for SIT. SIT , pune being situated in the one of core IT hub cities of India , along with limited and cream crowd made me choose it. Other colleges I made into had a large number of seats which makes the college crowdy unlike mine. SIT has its own SITEEE , which is an entrance exam based on board pattern questions, it also offers admission via state entrance examinations , JEE scores , only the students who cleared the exam and make it in the merit list get into the college...Read More

I chose this college because I have lived in Pune before and it's better than other private colleges. Better how 1. The fees. 2. The facilities provided. Other colleges don't come close. 3. The hostels are also better equipped, water tanks get cleaned weekly, although there is the issue of no network inside hostel and the Wi-Fi they give is HORRIBLE. I didn't go to other colleges because 1. Merit. 2. Bad cities like ghaziabad. 3. Worse packages. Admission was fairly simple here, you'll get an email if you got in, open the link there, finalise your admission, pay the fees and it's done. I got admission in SRM ghaziabad , CS , but ghaziabad is a bad city, all full of gundas and such. Seat in CS in JECRC jaipur, didn't go there because SIT gives better packages. Got 3 more colleges like VIT (electrical), and some local colleges but they were not in main college branch. Got rejected from AIT for low jee mains rank. That's the only college I didn't get in Admission in my college is simple, either by jee mains score , mhcet score or through SITEEE (sit's own exam). For all three, 85%ile and above are electrical, CS, aiml, and RnA. Students prefer jee, but I feel mhcet was much easier. Apart from SIT, i got offer letter from VIT and KIIT however all the other colleges are quiet crowded and I felt that the curriculum here was better than them. To get admission in SIT you should either write SITEEE, JEE MAINS or the state government enterance exam. The cutoff changes every year however forJEE MAINS, the cut off for CS this year was above 90 percentile. I also applied to SRM Institute of Technology, VIT( Vellore Institute of Technology). I chose SIT over my other options because of the teacher to student ratio and also because of the location of this college which is in Pune therefore it provides a large number of opportunities since many industries and software companies are based in the same city.
