Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very much in line with the industry needs and is reviwed every year and changes are made if needed. continuous assements keep on going almost every month. Apart from the regular subjects, we also have subjects that helps in personality building making you industry ready

Internships Opportunities

4

In our college the 7th semester is fully dedicated to internship as it helps gain actual hands on experience therefore the college makes sure that every eigible students gets an intership in 7th semester if not then doing project is always an option

Placement Experience

4

SIT does offer on campus placement. Last year the placement was around 97% with the highest package being 50 LPA. Top recruiters were Microsoft, Mercedes-bens, philips, nvidia etc. After the completion of my btech degree, i am planning on pursuing my masters in bussiness administration

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees per annum is 3 lakhs and 20,000 that is paid at the time of admission as the security deposit which will be returned at the completion of the degree. Fees is same for all the categories. scholorship is given to the topper of the batch every year apart from that scholarships are given to international students

Campus Life

5

Here at SIT we have a 3 day annual cultural fest held in the month of October called reverb, a 10 day sports fest also held in the month of October called Prots and a 2 day technical fest called Symbitech which generally takes place in the month of January or february. thousand of books across domains are available in the library. the library also has an e portal where all the e copies of the books available in the library can be found. apart from that th colleges provides subscription to varies jounals and portals which can be access by logging in using the college official email id. The are around 20-25 central clubs in the colleges and various departmental clubs are also there

Admission

Apart from SIT, i got offer letter from VIT and KIIT however all the other colleges are quiet crowded and I felt that the curriculum here was better than them. To get admission in SIT you should either write SITEEE, JEE MAINS or the state government enterance exam. The cutoff changes every year however forJEE MAINS, the cut off for CS this year was above 90 percentile. If SIT is one of your target i suggest you should write SITEEE as the maximum seat is alloted throught SITEEE score

Faculty

4

The student to facult ratio is somewhere about 1:20, the faculty is very well qualified, all my professors are phd holders, have multiple grants and patents to their name. they are easily approachable. Exams per subject depends on the no of credit that subject holds, however the exams in general falls in the moderate category

Night Life

4

The collges has a unisex gym, 2 library one of which is open 24 hrs. The in time for hostel is 10:30 PM on weekdays and 11:30 PM on weekends. The most famous hang-out places are rangoli and lupin apart from these there are several other hangpoints as well. The campus has a lot of eat-points hence you will always find people there hanging out in groups

Other Applied Colleges

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.
