Ups and Downs of Higher Education

Likes

The academic career of students is taken seriously.
Students are to compulsorily attend college and lectures.
There are many opportunities like internships, training, courses and programmes where one could participate.

Dislikes

Teachers sometimes cancel classes due to their prior engagements which results in delay of course completion.
As the academic part is taken seriously, there is no room for celebration of common festivals that other departments celebrate together.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for internships and industrial trainings ans visits. Many renowned companies have visited like Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon. Officials from RBI have also visited the department. Higest package ever offered has been 1.1 Cr and average package offered has been 6 LPA. The placement percentage definitely depends upon the potential of the candidate but its usually around 80-85%. My plans after completing the degree is doing masters and then phd.

Likes

Academy provides the MBA full time opportunity so that we can choose duel specialization courses.
I would give 5 to 5 infrastructure. The campus is huge and the canteen is wonderfu.
Faculty and placement are good. The learning environment they is great.

Dislikes

Placement are not that good. Few companies are coming up for placements.
Some faculties are good some are not. They were taking classes but classes were not that much interactive.
Placement are very bad according to the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBA course was very good in the institute. They provides placements in college students were told to roam in the market. The college provides 2 lab amd each lap equipped with 50+ computers. Classrooms are very good. The library is equipped with the various books and marketing research books

Faculty is very good behaved and experience
Regular classes by experienced teachers on smart board
The fee structure of college is affordable

Dislikes

I personally dont like the environment of college , there are so many students who misbehave
College starts in the early morning and students face problem While travelling

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college because I want to pursue MBA after BBA, there is no rule of attendance and it is beneficial for students who want to prepare for the CA/CS/CAT exam. Any person who doesn't want to pay high fees for graduation can choose it.

Life of DAVV (SOC) Student

Likes

DAVV is a well known college since a long time in Indore. Many notable alumni has passed out from it. The Location of college is very perfect. All the necessary travelling facilities are available. Accomodation is easy.
Staff is very friendly and college hours are also good
Placements are also decent. Good student can be placed at 2.5 to 3.5 lpa.

Dislikes

The condition of buildings are poor. They need renovation.
In my department which is School of Commerce, the attendance isn't compulsory, so students doesn't come to college so often.
Fun activities aren't that much as compare to other colleges. Like annual fest and sports aren't that great like colleges like prestige gsb etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Foreign Trade is an interesting course to pursue. Also in this curriculum they taught us foreign languages like French / German. The expect of doing foreign business attracted me to this course. The course is well managed and subjects are well divided according to sem. Also people who don't like maths much will be happy after choosing this because Maths isn't that much in this course

Comprehensive review of St paul institute of professional studies: A Holistic Educational experience

Likes

The environment in the college is safe as it is ragging free.
The campus is neat tidy and matches the vibe of the students
The extra curricular activities like alumni sessions dance performances sports activities makes the college life fun and engaging.

Dislikes

The campus is small and sometimes therefore creates a mess.
St. Paul college have the common ground in Sharing with St paul school which is a restriction and Bane for the students interested in sports.
The environment faculty are pretty strict which allows the working be not flexible but rigid

Placement Experience:

After the third year the college provides the students with the placement of good packages Mostly big companies like HDFC bank kotak bank comes for the campus placement and students are able to have good packages because of this. After graduation my plan is to go for MBA as my master's degree.

Basically this college has good infrastructure facilities like medical room, an indoor game auditorium
The quality of teaching is way more good as i think about this college the management of academics is sometimes a bit loose to decide the semester dates, important information regarding to our classes
Our college campus is way more better than our college because we have all right to do whatever we wants to and the rooms condition are quite good but some room aren't furnished well and decorated

Dislikes

The placement are not that good only some people gets the placement so from the Point of view of getting jobs this collage is not that good
Some teacher's are not that supporting, i did not like the teacher who had attitude like stuff so yahh i have good bonding with some of the teachers
In students there are lake in discipline they were not attended the class regular, thats my dislikes in the collage

I written this in the last page that i was preparing for UPSC so its a good Choice so i choose B.A is the easy course to passout. I have not attended the classes so regular. I passed the course so easily.

Likes

There are good library for extra studies
Good infrastructure parks very good environment

Dislikes

Enquiry departments are lazy or are not that supporting
Sport facilities are not good and there is no any professional sports

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm in bsc cs, I'm interested in coding that's why I took it. The curriculum are not that practical they just teach you theoretical part. The course needs to improve in practical part. By the way exam system is good and easy.

#Internal Side of Holker

Likes

Classroom of Holker are good they provide smart screen for better learning
Library of Holker college is awasome. lots of book they provide we have to issue books which we want
Many of the colleges have ragging but in Holker ragging is banned that my personal experience even we can't meet our senior

Dislikes

Faculties are not too much good in college. In 40 minutes of class they timepass 10 minutes and 30 minutes they teach.
Canteen of holker college is very expensive they give 20rs tea and 20rs samosa which is very those who are poor they can't afford it.

Placement Experience:

Holker Science college give campus placement students are eligible for campus placement from 5th semester companies visited in college are TCS,HCL,Infosys ,Wipro and other companies highest pakage of student is 11 to 12 lpa and average pakage is 2.5 lpa .

In civil department particularly There is quite freedom to use labs and space for new ideas
Many events in civil department make it a good experience and opportunities to develop
Sufficient lab instruments and. Equipments

Dislikes

Only few faculties are upto the mark most of them are not good enough
Despite having good labs unskilled or under qualified staff to operate
Not much culture for interaction in senior junior

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is mostly outdated but still it is basic and fundamental, but to make students more job oriented more practical and application based teaching methods and evaluation techniques must be used more industrial exposure is important and exchange of ideas and interdisciplinary subjects should be introduced.
