Likes
- DAVV is a well known college since a long time in Indore. Many notable alumni has passed out from it. The Location of college is very perfect. All the necessary travelling facilities are available. Accomodation is easy.
- Staff is very friendly and college hours are also good
- Placements are also decent. Good student can be placed at 2.5 to 3.5 lpa.
Dislikes
- The condition of buildings are poor. They need renovation.
- In my department which is School of Commerce, the attendance isn't compulsory, so students doesn't come to college so often.
- Fun activities aren't that much as compare to other colleges. Like annual fest and sports aren't that great like colleges like prestige gsb etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
Foreign Trade is an interesting course to pursue. Also in this curriculum they taught us foreign languages like French / German. The expect of doing foreign business attracted me to this course. The course is well managed and subjects are well divided according to sem. Also people who don't like maths much will be happy after choosing this because Maths isn't that much in this course
Internships Opportunities
Newbies Companies offer intership in DAVV. Not the major ones. They offered us PA role for the manager at their company. Department like IIPS get the major company internship. Also I didn't completed my graduation so I am not fully aware about this situation.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay approx 24,500 fee per sem for 3 years. Which is equal to 48k per year. I am an general category student so I didn't get any benifits of scholarship. There is only one chance to get scholarship in general category i.e medhavi yojna given by government. You can search about it. If you are SC/ST/OBC Student then you can apply for scholarship. Government will be paying 100% fees on your behalf. Here is the break down of fee structure Admission Fee - 9000 Dev Fee - 9000 Exam Fee - 2750 Student Service Fee - 3630 (for males) 3422 (female) Total is 24380 per sem.
Campus Life
To be honest in my department attendance is not necessary. So many students doesn't come to college so often. But the social life is good here. Campus area is very large and nice. Covered in greenery. The sports event which is conducted every year is Spardha. Many sports are played in this event. But most of the college is controlled by student community known as ABVP. They are also helping hand.
Admission
I applied on different colleges also but my main aim was DAVV. The reason for this dedication towards DAVV is it is a well known college since 90's. Well established and popular in Madhya Pradesh. Also I am MP domicile so I got preference over cross border. Notable Alumni like Kishor Kumar, Paridhi Sharma etc. are from DAVV. Honestly I didn't saw any other college's merit list after I got selected in DAVV. The admission process is 1st - You need to clear 12th with 55 % and give CUET exam 2nd - If you cleared the cutt off for DAVV then after that merit list will be released from DAVV. Considering your rank different courses are offered to you 3rd - After merit list, counselling will happen. In this process you need to select the course. If your rank is high then you can get your desired course..If not then seat availability will be your luck. After this college will commence
Faculty
The faculties are friendly. They are helpful towards student. They provide notes on Google classroom as well as they also provide handwritten note in class. There are 4 exams per sem 1st - Unit Test (20Marks) 2nd - Unit Test (20 Marks) 3rd - Unit Test (20 Marks) This test is basically PPT or project/presentation based. Last Exam is End Sem which is of 60 marks The best of 2 exams and end sem exam marks must total score 33 in order to clear the subject.
