DAVV CET 2026 — the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Common Entrance Test — is currently underway. The exam is being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from 20 to 25 June 2026 across 7 cities in Madhya Pradesh, and today, 22 June 2026, is one of the active exam days. Conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAU), Indore, the exam opens admission to more than 5,200 seats across 50+ UG and PG programmes at IIPS, SCSIT, IMS, the School of Law, and other institutes. Candidates who have appeared in sessions since 20 June are now waiting for the answer key and result.

  • Answer Key: DAVV CET 2026 provisional answer key is expected on 28 June 2026, a few days after the exam window closes on 25 June. Last year, DAVV released the key within 4 days of the final session along with a 48-hour objection window; the challenge fee was Rs. 100 per question.
  • Result: DAVV CET 2026 result is expected on 5 July 2026. In 2025, the result was declared around 10 days after the last exam session and included section-wise scores plus all-India rank. The merit list followed within 48 hours of the result.
  • Counselling: DAVV CET 2026 counselling is expected to begin from 10 July 2026. More than 5,200 seats across 50+ programmes will be filled in 4 rounds — Round 1 (20 July), Round 2 (28 July), Mop-up (5 August), and Spot Round (12 August 2026).
  • Seat Allotment: Round 1 seat allotment is expected around 20 July 2026, filling approximately 60% of total seats. In 2025, Round 1 was completed by 22 July and candidates who accepted the allotted seat had 3 days to pay the admission fee to confirm it.

What is DAVV CET 2026?

DAVV CET 2026 stands for Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Common Entrance Test. It is a university-level entrance test conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore for admission to more than 50 professional courses across its University Teaching Departments (UTDs) and affiliated colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

The exam covers a wide range of programmes including 5-year integrated MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), BA LLB, MBA, MCA, M.Sc., LLM, and MA Mass Communication. More than 14,000 candidates registered for DAVV CET 2026 and are competing for around 5,200 seats across DAVV departments and affiliated institutes.

DAVV CET has been conducted in Computer Based Test mode for the last 3 years. The question paper is bilingual (English and Hindi for most papers) and the test has 100 to 150 objective questions depending on the course. This makes it one of central India’s most popular university entrance tests for professional programmes.

You should note one important distinction: DAVV has moved admissions for most B.Com, B.Voc, BA, and general M.Sc. programmes to CUET (conducted by NTA). DAVV CET 2026 covers only the specific intensive and professional programmes at IIPS, SCSIT, IMS, and the School of Law that require their own aptitude-based selection.

DAVV CET 2026 Exam Day Highlights and Candidate Reactions

DAVV CET 2026 is being conducted in two shifts per day from 20 to 25 June 2026. Today, 22 June 2026, is the third day of the exam window. Below is a summary of what is happening on exam day, along with early candidate feedback from the sessions held on 20 and 21 June 2026.

Exam Day Schedule (All Days, 20–25 June 2026)

Slot Reporting Time Gate Closing Exam Timing
Slot 1 — Morning 7:30 AM 8:30 AM 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Slot 2 — Afternoon 12:30 PM 1:30 PM 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

You must reach the centre 90 minutes before the slot starts. Gates close 30 minutes before the test begins. Late entry is strictly not allowed — even by a minute.

Shift-Wise Paper Analysis — June 20 and 21 Sessions

Based on candidate reactions collected after the morning and afternoon shifts on 20 and 21 June 2026, the overall difficulty level of DAVV CET 2026 has been moderate. No major surprises were reported in the question types or section structure. The paper followed the expected pattern closely.

  • Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions): Moderate difficulty. Arithmetic topics — percentages, profit and loss, time-speed-distance, and averages — dominated as expected. Candidates found 3–4 geometry and mensuration questions in each shift. Calculation load was manageable but slightly higher than 2025.
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (25 questions): Moderate to slightly time-consuming. Each shift had 2–3 DI sets; the caselet-based set was the most time-consuming. Reasoning questions on seating arrangement and syllogisms were straightforward. Candidates who attempted DI sets selectively reported better scores.
  • Verbal Ability and English Comprehension (25 questions): Easy to moderate. Reading comprehension passages were of medium length (around 350–400 words each) and manageable. Para-jumbles had a clear structure. Vocabulary questions were standard DAVV CET level — no unusually difficult words reported.
  • General Awareness / Computer Awareness (20 questions): Mixed difficulty. The GA section for MBA candidates was heavily current-affairs-based, with several questions from the last 6 months. The Computer Awareness section for MCA candidates focused on OS and networking basics, which candidates found predictable.

Overall Candidate Sentiment

Most candidates who appeared on 20 and 21 June described the paper as balanced. The consensus from Indore centres — which have the highest candidate density — is that a score of around 250–280 out of 400 should be competitive for the top programmes. Candidates preparing for today’s (22 June) session or later sessions should note that the DI section has been the key differentiator across shifts so far.

This paper analysis is based on early candidate feedback and is indicative only. Official analysis will not be published by DAVV. Always check the answer key (expected 28 June 2026) for an accurate score estimate.

The minimum qualifying percentile is 45 for General category (180 marks out of 400) and 35 for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates (140 marks out of 400). Scoring above this makes you eligible for counselling. Actual seat allotment depends on your rank relative to others in your category and programme.

Tie-Breaking Policy

If two or more candidates score the same total marks, DAVV resolves ties in this order: higher marks in Quantitative Aptitude, then higher marks in DI and Reasoning, then older candidate (higher age), then alphabetical order of name as a last resort.

DAVV CET 2026 Cutoff

DAVV CET 2026 cutoff will be released along with the first round of counselling in July 2026. The cutoff is expressed as a rank (not raw marks) and varies by programme, institute, and category. The table below gives you the 2025 closing ranks as a reference for 2026 expectations.

Factors That Affect the DAVV CET Cutoff

  • Total number of candidates who appear — more candidates means tighter cutoffs
  • Difficulty level of the paper — a tougher paper lowers average scores and may relax cutoff ranks slightly
  • Total seats in each programme — any seat increase directly eases the cutoff rank
  • Previous year’s closing ranks and demand trends for each course

DAVV CET Previous Year Cutoff — Closing Ranks (2025)

DAVV CET 2026 Preparation Tips

These tips are most useful for candidates appearing in the remaining sessions (23–25 June 2026) and as a complete guide for those planning for future cycles. DAVV CET tests core aptitude across four sections — no technical subject knowledge is required for the management papers. The DI section has been the key differentiator in the 2026 paper across shifts so far.

Section-Wise Strategy

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Arithmetic — profit and loss, percentages, and time-speed-distance — carries the highest weightage. Revise geometry and mensuration formulas; 3–4 questions from these areas appear in every shift. Use the elimination technique on tough questions rather than leaving them blank.
  • Data Interpretation and Reasoning: Attempt simpler DI sets (tables, bar graphs) first. Avoid spending more than 5 minutes on any single set. Caselet-based DI has been the most time-consuming element in 2026 — attempt it last.
  • Verbal Ability: Read each RC passage once fully before answering. For para-jumbles, identify the opening sentence first — this anchors the rest of the sequence. Vocabulary questions in 2026 have been standard level, so a quick synonym-antonym revision covers it.
  • General Awareness / Computer Awareness: For MBA, cover RBI policy, Budget 2026 highlights, and current affairs from the last 6 months. For MCA/BCA, revise OS types, TCP/IP model, and SQL fundamentals — the most tested sub-topics in 2026 shifts so far.

General Strategy

  • Start with your strongest section to build momentum in the first 20–25 minutes
  • With −1 negative marking, skip a question if you cannot eliminate at least 2 of the 5 options
  • Target an average of 72 seconds per question to finish 100 questions with 15–20 minutes to review
  • For future cycles: take 5–6 full-length CBT mocks; the interface and navigation also need practice

Ques. Can students from outside Madhya Pradesh apply for DAVV CET 2026?

Reservation benefits under SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories are only available to candidates with a valid MP domicile and MP-issued category certificates, as per the state government’s reservation policy.

Ques. When will DAVV CET 2026 counselling start and how many rounds are there?

Ans. DAVV CET 2026 counselling is expected to begin from 10 July 2026 with registrations, followed by Round 1 seat allotment around 20 July. There are 4 rounds in total — Round 1 (20 July), Round 2 (28 July), Mop-up (5 August), and Spot Round (12 August 2026). You need your scorecard, mark sheets, Aadhaar, and category certificate for counselling registration.

Ques. What is the difference between DAVV CET and CUET for admissions at DAVV Indore?

Ans. DAVV has shifted most of its UG and PG admissions to CUET (conducted by NTA). DAVV CET is used separately for intensive professional programmes at IIPS, SCSIT, IMS, and the School of Law — mainly the 5-year Integrated MBA, MBA, MCA, BCA, BBA, BA LLB, and LLM. If you want a general B.Com, BA, or standard M.Sc. at DAVV, you need CUET scores, not DAVV CET.
