Likes

Hostel rooms are too good you will get single occupancy room from 2nd year onwards
The quality of mess food is also good compared to other colleges
The academic load of attendance is also not here

Dislikes

Sports facilities is also is not upto the mark there is no indoor court for badminton

THE GRAND "NIT JAMSHEDPUR"

Likes

The annual fest Culfest which is organised in a wide scale.
The sports facility here is very great with very talented students.
Huge hostel and the grand Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall.

Dislikes

The campus is quite far from the main city of Jamshedpur.
The college has not utilised much of its area.
The library of campus is quite old and not well maintained.

Placement Experience:

Nit Jamshedpur is known for its college campus placements. Even the lower branches like civil and metallurgy and production branch have very pleasing placement statistics. Many big companies like Microsoft, Atlassian, and the enormous Tata Steel show interest in Nit Jamshedpur.

NIT Jamshedpur - a place for placements

Likes

The hostel life is one of the best things. The hostels are beautiful and you get a single room if you are a second year boy.
The peer groups is one of the best and therefore helps you in a lot of things personality wise and career wise
The placement is quite good here even if you are in core or non core

Dislikes

There are no gyms present which is a matter of concern
There could be more novels and story books in the library for the bibliophiles

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good. Big companies recruit from here. The student is eligible for the 7th semester. The highest package was around 83 lakhs and the average is around 13-14 lakhs. More than 100 companies arrive here with jobs and internships and the percentage placement is over 95 percent. I am planning to work as a software development engineer after graduation.

You have platform where lots of option are avilable you can chosse your choices where you can best.

Sometime i don't like mess food so i don't like.
Our academic bulding is very far away from the hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is (ECM),Engineering and computational mechanics this course is good and recently launched this programs in 2023.So there are no more facilities for this program. Now in this program available in minimum placed with minimum students .But it gradually available in other institute it may be take some time . It is facilitate by mechanical engineering so it is called computational mechanics at the current situation there have not the faculty for this specific branch . In this cousre have lots of subjects just like data structure robotics Artificial intelligence etc

Get Admission in NIT JAMSHEDPUR.

Likes

Placement is very good of this college and campus is beautiful.
Our hostels are very well maintained and all facilities are available.
Infrastructure of the classrooms and laboratories are very nice.

Dislikes

Food quality is some time very poor which is not good for health.
Many area of this college is like forest.
Some professor are very rude and their teaching techniques are old.

In the third year, students get offered for their placement and internships. All companies have their own placement eligibility. Many companies come to the college like Tata Steel, Flipkart,byjus, Microsoft, Atlassian, and many more. The number of companies is two hundred fifty and they gave a total of seven hundred fifty-plus offers they made. The total percentage of students who get placed is 98%. My plan is also to get placed in a good company with a good salary.

Likes

The college placement is excellent which provides a very shining future to students.
The college campus has lots of trees and greenery which provides a good views and fresh air too.
the college hostels are quite good and looks like hotels.

Dislikes

the open campus problem due to which anyone can come inside the campus
the transport facility for the students as it is not regular
lacks in the security management in the campus due to carelessness of guards

Placement Experience:

Our college in terms of placement lies among the top 5 NIT in India it's the overall average package is 1600000 PA and it has the highest of 85 LPA. different branch has different placement and the thing to notice is the core placement of the college. mechanical metallurgy has almost 100% placement and all other core and lower branches such as electrical production civic have placement of around 95%.

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.

Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.

Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.

Academics

The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
