I chose BDS because I wanted to become a dentist. My father wanted me to be a doctor. but I didn't want to choose MBBS.
If I talk about the faculty of this college all the teachers have done MDS except 1 or 2.
Every department has faculty of 4 to 5 staff members and 1 HOD.
Staff members have really interesting teaching methods and their notes are just superb.
In BDS, final exams are conducted annually Sessional are conducted twice a year and practice test which is called sent-ups are conducted 1 month before final exams.
It is one of the noble professions and also being from a medico family it always insisted me opt for the medical field.
We are a batch of 250 students and common lectures are taken by professors via smart classes.
Further clinical posting batch constitutes of 20-30 students with a min 1to2 postgraduate students.
The teaching staff are highly qualified and behold a min. degree of MBBS and MD or MS.
Also, from time to time students' review is taken for the betterment of classes.
University prof exams are held once a year and can be passed by regular studies.
MBBS is considered a good course considering the rush in other courses. Becoming a doctor is THE course. In KCGMC, Karnal faculty size is less compared to others, but interaction with faculty is better. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:15 which is decent. All the faculty is Postgraduate that is specialist (MD/MS) or superspecialist (Mch). The teaching method is good and even HOD takes classes. Classes are held in a lecture theatre with the whole class. And clinical classes are held in the hospital itself in small batches of 20-25. To pass the exams, you have to study for some time at least and exams are held on time each year.
The course is great. This was my second choice after MBBS. The college has a great name. The faculty is very good. Understanding, friendly and supportive. The teaching method is good. Self-learning and assignments also. For each semester there are 2 sessional exams and one-semester final exam. They are quite easy to pass not much difficulty
After you have done an internship you can get your degree easily after which u can apply anywhere for a job Or u can work in a hospital attached to your college. U will get 70k to1lakh monthly easily.
Around 92-95 easily get a job. My plan is to do post-graduation after this.
I choose this course because it's my dream to become a doctor and help society through my work, faculty are also quality from reputed MBBS and pg from college. They have to qualify for the exams and give interviews.
The course curriculum is good. It's not that hectic. It's well planned. The exam structure is also pretty simple. We have 2 internals and 2 main exams for each year. The main exams consist of 50 marks and the internals are of 30 marks. The rest 20 marks are based on attendance, presentation and viva.
This course is a professional course and has multi scopes so that's why I chose it. The faculty is very good in all aspects. Faculty members are Ph.D. holders in their specialization. Terms exams were timely and not so difficult but in corona's situation term exams were late.
I choose this course bcoz I wanted to be a doctor.
the faculty-student ratio is well organized and is about 1:25.
faculty are well qualified for their jobs but there is no such teaching review method being followed.
