Life at DU South campus: From an eye of a Science Student

Fees and Financial Aid:

the total fee for the 3-year course for BSc Hons Microbiology is 76,590 Rs. for most categories. Annual fees for 2025 ranged from 22,000 to 26,000 rs. Detailed Fee Breakdown: 1. Tuition and lab fee: 6000rs 2. A refundable caution one time fee during admission is paid. 3. other compulsory charges for Library funds, development funds, student welfare ,society fees account to rs 200 to rs 2000. 4. Semester end examination fee ranges from 1500- 2100 rs for every category and course. FEE FOR OTHER CATEGORIES: 1. PWD students pay a nominal fee of Rs 75 to Rs 285 per year. 2. SC/ST candidates are waved off from tution fees and only pay a heavily subsidized fee of Rs 16000 to Rs 18000. SCHOLARSHIPS: 1. Dr. Ramesh Chandra and Ms. Kanti Mishra Scholarship: 2 awards for Rs 4000 to needy and meritorious students. 2. The real college experience

The tuition fee is about 18000 around with GST and other taxes applied. We then have to pay 2100 in examination fee, other minor charges include departmental fees or society fees ranging from 200-2000. for sc/st students the fee is heavily subsidised and usually ranges between 16000 to 18000. Scholarship opportunities are present both internally and externally and are usually merit-based, ie, based on your CGPA or test scores.

Many government scholarships are working so they got return there fees which they have paid before. Merit student have college scholarship for free admission and other fees for free.

Exploring the heart of campus.

Fees of my course ( microbiology) is 30,000.And in second year it is decrease to 22000. Batchmates fees is also same. Tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees, and other charges all are sum equals to 22000. There are various Scholarships available in my college. Fees of my college is not increasing for course bsc hons microbiology.

DU life pros and cons

My first year fees was 23000.And second year it was 25000. We only have to pay registration fee in the starting. There is no other extra fees. Everything is included in the yearly fees. No tution fees, caution fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and other compulsory fees. I got admission through obc-ncl reservation. Other categories have a small reduction in fees compared to mine. There are scholorships available for students whose financial status is not good and those who study well. Overall I think studying in DU gives good exposure as we interact with students all over India as well as abroad. I have 4 international students in my class itself

LIFE AT DU South Campus

Hello everyone, myself Ayushi Priya... I'm from Ram Lal Anand College Delhi University South campus. I'm currently pursuing Bsc Honours Microbiology and Research. This place is quite nice. The departments are very career oriented and provide placement cells and opportunities. The societies are immensely active and focus on the overall development of the student apart of academics. The seniors as well as the professors are quite helpful. The fees for first year Microbiology is Rs. 22670. I've heard that it increased by a thousand this year. However this may be due to ongoing research projects in our college . For the other departments.... The fees differs. For BA honours it may go as low as 15k and for Bsc CS it may reach heights like 75k yearly. Overall it's worth the money and time invested.
