NIT Silchar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Arcesium, Goldman Sachs, Goibibo, Mastercard, HP, Oracle, Berger, Samsung, Facebook, Linkedin, Pepsico, Medlife, OYO, Dalmia, Pepsico, Wipro etc. The total number of jobs offered is 514 for 2020-21 session and total students were 597. The average placement for the CSE branch is very good and our average package is increasing every year. Students start giving interviews after 3rd year. Our college is visited by many reputed companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs. This year our college average placement was 13 LPA and the highest package was 43 LPA. Even a 48LPA job was offered but no one was able to crack the interview. Almost everyone in the CSE branch gets a job. But if you are not from the CSE department then the placement here is average.

From third-year students get eligible for placements. About 75-80 percent students gets placed each year in top companies. Highest package is somewhat 35 lacs per anum and average package is 7.5lacs per anum. Top recruitment companies are samsung , hp , godrej , nokia etc. 80-90 percent gets internship in top companies. I want to get placed in top companies as a backup and then start my own business.

Placements are getting better every year and it provides 100% placements for CSE.Faculty quality is almost same at every NIT.Used College Pravesh for last year cut-off and other details.Quora was a constant support for all the relevant queries.

I choose this college due to the reviews I got from my seniors. It has good Infrastructure and is sound in academia. The teachers are supportive and always try to help and motivate students. The student community is the best here. The seniors are very supportive. There are various clubs which are very active throughout the session and help students gain multiple skills.

It is the under the top 10 NITs and under the India's top 50 engineering college. It has good placement records. It has asia's biggest digital library. It is 2nd topmost college of north east after IIT Guwahati.

I wanted to study in a college that is closer to home. And there is only two enginnering college where it is worthy of studying. One is Indian institute of technology Guwahati and the other one is National institute of technology Silchar. Hence my choice was only two - IIT Guwahati and Nit Silchar. Plus I wanted to study computer science and engineering. But IIT Guwahati requires higher rank in JEE advanced as it is one of the top ranked college in the whole country which I didn't have. so my only option Nit Silchar and that's why.

It's a national level recognised institute which is one among the beautiful campus in india. It has a NIRF ranking of #50-60 and it's stands #9 among other NIT's in India which is one of the important factor to grab my attention towards it.
