- Here the faculty is very nice they are ready help when students need there help
- Here placements is so good and many top companies are approaching to the college students here having good opportunity for the placements average placements is about 13lakhs per annual combining all branches
- Many scholarships like fcc, nsp and others are student welfare related and do help the students alot.
Dislikes
- Scholarship are there for weak section of society.. my fees is somewhat between 140000 to 150000 years as i didn't receive any scholarship or anything.
- The hostel facility is not that great, there is a food problem in terms of taste and water problem in terms of hygiene, there are some issues with the internet also.
- The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good

- College campus is big full of greenery and lakes.
- The newly built ECE and CSE dept building is well built with modern approach
- faculties are very qualified and helpful in all manners
Dislikes
- Mess food given in hostels is a disaster
- Mobile connectivity inside hostels is zero. We need to go outside to make calls
- The condition of Gym is not very good need improvement
Placement Experience:
from 7th semester students sit for placements. Deloitte, BPCL,Atlassian are some of the companies that visited.The details of highest and average package for this year can only be known after the T&P cell releases the official stats.Last year average package was around 17lakhs and highest 80 lakhs with 94% students getting placed

- The clubs and the senior interactions are good
- The campus environment and atmosphere is goof
- The peer group that are with me and motivated

- The administration of the college were awful
- The lack of online integration provides much friction for it
- The lack of quality of teachers in the college
Placement Experience:
From the 4th sem, students become eligible for placements , the percentage of placements are quite good in the college and many if not all get placements at the end of the course. The average package is also on the higher side

- I like the natural beauty of the college
- Amazing sports facility available in campus

- Gym not that great laser equipments more equipments needed
- Chemistry lab not that good need better chemistry lab
- 75% criteria is not good I don't like it
Placement Experience:
Eligible for campus placement from 5th semester many big companies visit like Amazon Goldman Sacs Wipro TCS
PSUs like Oil India and power grid,GALE and many more
Computer science and engineering highest average 20lacs median package 18 lacs 94% placed

- I like the beautiful campus having greenary and lakes
- I love the sporting facilities, I love to play badminton
- I like the academic activities and supportive nature of faculties
Dislikes
- The meal of mess is very poor. It doesn't include a healthy options
- It is away from the main city making hard to reach basic facilities
- Library facilities is not good enough, it should be better
Placement Experience:
Students are able for placement after seventh semester a decent numbers of companies visit with decent no. Of offers made. Highest package was 84 lakh and average is 12 lakh this year. Approx 90% student got placed.

- I like the facilities in our campus. There is pretty much every thing you can think of.
- The big green campus which is so fun to explore.
- Hostel life ... These are the best days I hope everyone experience atleast once in their life.
Dislikes
- Over competitive environment among the students.
- Distance from the town. The campus is located far away from silchar town. I would have been great if the NIT was located in areas like Nagaon or Tezpur.
- Over priced shops. Every shop in the campus sells things at higher prices.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible from 6th sem itself.
Many companies like tcs, google, cognizant, L&T etc.
Last year the highest package offered was 80LPA . And average package is 8-9LPA
Almost 80-90% of the students get placed.
I am planning to prepare for govt. Jobs in the future

- The place where college is located i.e Silchar is not well connected
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for giving placement exam after their 3rd year. Famous companies like Amazon, Microsoft,etc. visited the college . Highest CTC was 80LPA . Around 89.9 percentage of students got placed.

- Greenery.college have very much lake.20 lakes are present
- College Library,you can study in college library and it is the biggest digital library in Asia
- Sports facilities are quite good.There is separate ground for vollyball.football and cricket
Dislikes
- Travel facilities.rapido and Uber are not active.
- 75% attendance policy.vert hectic to do class.
- Students does get too much time for extra co curricular activities
Placement Experience:
After 3rd year students are eligible for college placement.
Many multi national company visited here such as Microsoft apple Google Facebook Amazon.
Highest pakage of college is 44lpa and average pakage is 15lpa.

- I liked the junior senior relationship as seniors are very helpful.
- The sports facility is great here at NITS.
- The core placement is awesome here as mass recruiter companies come here with good average pacakage
Dislikes
- The academics is quite tough here at NITS as you need to study hard for exams.
- You have exams very often and those are very hard to study.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because from my childhood i wanted to be a civil enginner and I was very clear about what I have to do.
There is a good student ratio in NIT Silchar , not sure but there would be a 2:7 ratio in my class which i consider to ba good ratio compared to other enineering colleges of India.
Here you would get a highly qualified faculty. Studied from IITs, IISc and other top notch institutes of India.
Exams are likely to be evry two moths, you have mid sem exams, minor tests, practical exams and endsem exams. These exam are tough to score as NIT Silchar has one of thr toughest academic curriculam.

- Campus life, faculty and seniors and scenery
- Campus is very beautiful with a tea garden in back side of college
- Seniors are very cooperative and faculty are also very helpful

- The location of college is in remote area and about 40 km from silchar town
Placement Experience:
Almost all the students are placed in campus and the students can also apply off campus placement.Microsoft, vedanta, tata L and T. In my branch medium package of civil branch is 9 LPA almost 80 percent of students from all branches gets placed .

- Although Mess food is better than 95% of government colleges,it could have been made more better.

Students are eligible for internship from 5th sem onwards. Approximately 90 companies visited the campus and highest package is 60 lakhs and average being close to 7 lakhs.65% students got placement this year.
