Remarks

Positive is that we have 24hour open shops and hotels nearby so problem of being hungry, there is good stadium for those who interseted in sports especially athletics ( don't think that they support you ), we have reading rooms for those who want to study. As this medical college has huge amount of patients students can learn from them, And this institution is the asia's largest in terms of number of deliveries of new born, Bad is that large number of students when compared with faculties so students can easily get flop in their studies. No one to look students thus they get addicted to alcohols and smoking.

Campus Life

3.5

College doesn't support any extracurricular activities as there is nothing mentioned in our curriculum. But due to the interest of students having talent in some extracurricular fields, with their own risk they participate in competition.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls. Men's hostels are old and one ladies hostel too. There are quadruple, triplet, double, single rooms available. Food facilities, badmintion court and table tennis court are also there in the hostels fir refreshment purpose.

They are helpful to college as they did many things to college and the people who comes here. They had introduced many things like cafe, many auditorium, college gate. They also started pg entrance coaching centre for ug students.

By attending National eligibility cum entrance test and secure top ranks. Then you will undergo allotment proceedure in which you can choose which all colleges you like to study in the priority order. After that you get one college allotted take admission there that's all.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are good committed and teaches students but they are not able to keep a student-teacher relationship because of large number of students studying in one batch itself. Actually the number of faculties are less in proportion with students.

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Kerala University of Health Sciences - [KUHS], Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
