Remarks

The college is one of the bests in the state. But it doesn't excel in modernization and environmental sustainability. Also, the inability of the college to provide accommodation for all the students is to be noted.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is average in terms of hardness. We have a semester structure. The marks are out of 150 for most of the subjects. The 50 marks are internal marks and are provided on account of 2 series of tests conducted at the college and assignments submitted.

Placement Experience

3.5

Companies come for campus placement from the start of the 4th year onwards. Last time the highest package was 40lacs per annum. There is a separate cell for an internship called Internshala. There is also a placement unit for the college.

College Events

4.5

Disha is the fresher's fest. The first years compete amongst themselves for the Disha cup. There are cultural and sports events. Drishti is the tech fest of the college. There are various cultural events, science expos, and seminars. Dhwani is the cultural fest. Sargam is the Arts festival where various competitions are held and winners proceed to zonal tournaments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is under the Kerala State Government. Hence the fees are very low compared to infrastructure. Fees vary for various semesters according to courses elected. But it is generally around RS 6000 to 8000

Fees and Financial Aid

Kerala Government provides various scholarships according to the social-economical status of students. E Grants scholarship and Central Sector scholarship are examples of scholarships provided for economically backward students.

Campus Life

3.5

There are various clubs present in the college of extracurricular activities. Various labs like automation lab, Microwave Lab, etc are present. The college has its own dance team, Cricket team, volleyball team, etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I haven't opted for the hostel. The hostel facilities aren't enough for all the students in the college. The hostel itself is not that great. According to me the hostel facilities is not satisfactory. The cost of hostel facilities is very low. And the food is good.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has an alumni association name CETAA. They conduct various events related to placements, engineering, etc. There is a Facebook group of which the alumni are also a part. This helps in effective communication between the students and the alumni.

Admission

There is an entrance test for all engineering colleges in Kerala, KEAM. I had attended that and secured a rank. The admission process is the same for all engineering colleges and is online. We have to pay an amount at the college when we secure a seat in the college.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculties are of Doctorate degree. The faculty seem to be talented, irrespective of the department. Some subjects are carried out by more than 1 faculty. The faculty is most helpful and talented.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
