What NSIT was like

Well if you get in, make the most of your four years, grow not just in knowledge but also as a human being. The one downside of studying there being the lack of research opportunities, and the only person who has to motivate you is you yourself.

Well our curriculum was extremely outdated. However, for the upcoming batches the curriculum has been updated and is now at par with the required computer science trends. We had two sets of exams each semester, mid semester and end semester, each of which had 3-6 papers

The placement opportunities are ample. Anyone who wants to get placed usually finds a decent job. There is a lot of variety among companies that visit campus, from start ups to software Giants. I did not get an internship from college, however many for and payments ranged from 25k to 1.5l pm

Well there are multiple events, ranging from the freshers' week to moksha the college fest, to various technical fests. In addition most college societies have their own fests which make the college a very vibrant place.

The fee structure is very feasible for a technical institute and the hostel accommodation is affordable too. The amount that I paid was 94k per annum, which did not include the hostel as I was a day scholar. Education loans are easily available too.

Well not by the college, but Banks provide a very low interest education loan to students of our college. There are some scholarships available to scholars, who get a rank in their respective departments.

The extra curricular activities are amazing. There are dedicated college societies for everything ranging from debating to music to drama to quizzing etc. Our societies are renowned in the DU circles.

The alumni from our college are working in almost all companies based in Delhi, Bangalore etc. They are very helpful as far as getting jobs or internships are concerned and also life wise. The seniors treat Juniors like their younger siblings after college.

Well the admission was based on the JEE mains rank, which at our time was calculated using the main exam marks and class 12 percentage. Once the rank had come out, we had to apply for the joint admission portal, which called me for counselling, and offered be admission

The faculty, may not be that research oriented, however many professors are willing to do whatever it takes to watch its students become successful. The teachers belonging to the training and placement cell were especially helpful
