Remarks

Overall it is a great place of learning both in terms of education and real life values.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is rather modernized and is changed frequently to include current topics and matters of importance. The course duration is for a period of 4 years. 8 total exams are held at a gap of approximately 6 months each.

Placement Experience

Their are ample opportunities for jobs and placements. The faculty members are very cooperative in this regard. And as far as my department is considered there is a scope for a compulsory internship of 1.5-2 months. They students are sent to reputed organizations and industries for a hands on experience. Stipend depends entirely on the organization of internship

College Events

Multiple events are celebrated in college throughout the course of the year. Various seminars and workshops are held frequently. Besides certain cultural and regional festivities are also observed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very nominal. Since it is a Government College, heavy subsidies are provided. Fees have to paid at the time of admission, for the first year. Thereafter, fees have ro be paid every 6 months.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful and actively take part in opportunities for the development of the institute.

Admission

The college fills up the seats in its Engineering Courses from WBJEE based on ranks in the merit list. Thereafter 3-4 rounds of counselling and stream allotment is done and the students are alloted courses as per their ranks.

Faculty

The faculty members and highly qualified, having their deegres from reputed institutions across the country and excellent teachers. Overall they pay great attention to detail, while teaching and are always ready to help, both inside and outside the classroom.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
