- I liked most about GEU is perhaps the placements as that is university market itself and figures it gives are real too.
- Next would be professors in my list as not just clinical but are pure professional in their jobs.
- Last but not the least our classmates or university students as all are highly educated and the kind of diverse students that we have here is unreal.
Dislikes
- Perhaps the local crowd as they feel they own it and even neglect outsiders opinion.
Course Curriculum Overview
If one needs engineering then I don't think not just career wise but even in terms of having the widest range of choices, CSE is the one. Many think that techies can work only in tech companies but even metals and auto sector and even FMCG and others too need tech people. There's not a single industry where tech people are not required.
Internships Opportunities
Will be getting our chance for the same in 3rd year but if students can find it on their own the university grants NOC immediately. Many of my classmates are already doing intenrships in ISRO, Tech Mahindra, Persistent Systems and others. Stipend not below 20k to any student of the university.
Placement Experience
Campus placements here begin with admission. Front he first year itself we have industrial seminars and then tech events. Corporate houses people come and witness that and students have chance to impress them. This is one way and next ofcourse is the interviews and all which happens in the final year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees at GEU is 5 lakhs and counting as there's exam fees and then some other charges which university asks from time to time. In short studying at GEU means cash ready because university is expensive but all that expenses are paid off as university placements and facilities makes up for all the charges that it takes.
Campus Life
Our university isn't that big but then if all split campus are combined then it is definitely huge. Our parking area which is off university campus itself has space of parking over 1000 two wheelers and 100 cars. Also, university's 50 odd buses are parked there. Even both the auditorium of the university are huge and then the open auditorium at the tech is now used for departmental fests.
Admission
My brother passed out from same college and it was easier then to get th admission but now it's really tough as one has to be efficient and qualified to clear the GECET. Few seats are allocated through JEE scores but a baat majority of Graphic Era University are allocated through Graphic Era Common Admission Test.
Faculty
Our university has if not fair the most educated professors. Many measure professors with their age and experience but we don't have the most experienced faculties but yes we do have the right people for right task. So when taskmaster are right the knowledge that students need to have for future will also be right.
Night Life
If CSE students had time I would have definitely explored Uttarakhand as it is one of the most beautiful states of India and that was the reason I came here for studies. However, in 2 years I have been to Rishikesh and Mussoorie twice each as they are just an hour away from our university.
